I like this guy a lot. He seems like a nice kid. But in a way that bothers me to. I hope he turns into an animal on the field because he will be playing against some nasty S.O.B.s. His bench numbers were good but he's not as ripped as Beason. I wonder if that's just the way he is or if he can add muscle.

Don't have to worry about Luke being nasty on the field. That's a known fact.

He doesn't intimidate with nasty play like some LBs

He is more that annoying guy you played basketball against that would be all over you defensively not letting you even breath and frustrates the heck out of you..

He has the speed that Beason doesn't have. They're two different LBs. This is good.

Urlacher wasn't that big as a rookie, so I suppose he'd get more build.

6'2 245 lbs. 4.58. 38 in vertical. 27 reps on bench. Won several defensive awards in college. Trust me this guy is an animal. You don't do all of this by being a soft pu$$y. He obviously works hard and has the ability. And making tackles the way he does requires effort. He's the total package LB

He's a 20 year old kid with a shy demeanor. Not everyone is comfortable in front of the media. Who cares.

Super excited about Kuechly, going to be fun to watch him with the LBs we have grown so used to and fond of. Could be a very special group.

I think the pick of Luke was a statement about our team's culture and what Rivera likes in a player as far as attitude and outlook on the game, and life for that matter. Breath of fresh air for sure.

      well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying

      All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.

      I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
