Amini to replace otah?

Mentioned by the same idiot who said we're switching to a 3-4 defense, even though both our GM and head coach have said otherwise about our LT situation.

Translation: don't hold your breath. Silatolu will likely start at LG (with competition from Pollak he's expected to win), since he's, you know, listed as a guard on the Panthers website roster.

Seems like you missed the video that showed why we drafted Amini. He is a quick and elusive wrecking ball that will be needed to pull and run. The only pull and run Otah was capable of was stealing a biscuit from Bojangles. Amini will stay at LG.

The only people that actually know poo about the Panthers are people that cover the Panthers (Gantt, Person, Reed etc). ESPN and NFL analysts just speculate about teams like the Panthers because they don't feel like putting in the time and research to get the facts straight because they aren't the Cowboys, Patriots, Giants etc...

Amini was a tackle in college but he was used as a run-game pulling tackle. He was allowed to get out into space to bust people in the mouth and create downfield holes for their running game. Our run game uses pulling guards A LOT, which is why the FO fell in love with him. That's his skill set - he'll play guard for us.

The only way that Amini get's stuck out on T is if we have a streak of injuries at the position.

Byron Bell is our starting right tackle, folks. Deal with it.

You should give him more credit. He anchored one of the top rushing teams in the NFL last season as an undrafted rookie. He wasn't perfect but he has now had a full season of game experience to learn from.

Oh, I agree with you. I'm a fan of Bell. I was directing that at all the folks who seem to think it's the end of the world that we have to start the same guy who started most of last season when we were one of the best offenses in football.
