Otah trade officially voided (confirmed)

Recommended Posts

I haven't seen anything official yet but is anyone really going to be surprised? Not the end of the world either way. No matter how it plays out I don't see him on the field for the Panthers this year. The only thing in question is whether we get a 7th round pick, lose money on an injury settlement, or watch him sit on the sidelines for the rest of TC.

Believe or dont believe, I dotn care. He will be back in Charlotte before end of business day. Review my post history, I have never pulled any bs like this. I KNOW it is voided. I was told by a reliable source. Name begins with O and ends in H.

    • Don't agree with going for 2 even if they get it
    • I’ve said it in other threads.  He belongs in the NFL, but we aren’t using him correctly.  I’ll give him the rest of this season to see how it pans out, but then again, it’s also hard to judge him because we don’t have a guy who can get him the ball in his areas of strength.  I know some compared him to DK when he came out, which is possibly an apt comparison, but with a noodle armed middle schooler at QB, it’s impossible to know that.  DK isn’t known for being ultra agile and making ridiculous, ballerina-tight rope catches.  DK is a force of nature.  A big body guy who is freakishly athletic and relies greatly on strength and straight-line speed.  That’s how I see XL at best.  At worst, I envisioned him as a bigger version of Deebo.  Again, a guy that isn’t ultra agile or quick, but big, strong, physical, and fast, but as you mentioned, Deebo worked because they were great at figuring out how to get the ball in his hands in creative ways and at scheming him open on routes.  In my estimation, none of these three are route technicians.  But the way DK and Deebo developed, that gave me hope for what XL could or can be.  I still believe he can be that dominant, but with Bryce, he is not in an offense that will foster that kind of development. It’s my belief that just like in the preseason, when the guy pulling the trigger can’t get guys the ball in their preferred spots, it not only hinders immediate results, but it also makes it impossible to evaluate what we have.  I would like to see what XL can develop into, but as long as they keep trotting Bryce out there, that domino effect fugs everything else up.
    • No, the WRs didn’t let him down.   XL not getting his feet down on a ball he should have doesn’t fulfill the narrative his WR let him down.  Bryce Young doesn’t fit Dave’s offense.  Just like he didn’t fit Franks.  Technically, that is the orgs faults.  I have spoken about that fact through great protest every season since we drafted him.  So I’m not putting everything on Bryce.  I can talk about square pegs and round holes all day.   End of the day, the simple fix, is Bryce.   Bryce is the biggest factor in why everyone sucks.  He does the opposite of what you want your QB to do.  He lowers everything, for everybody.  He doesn’t make people better.
