Steve Smith 7th Best Receiver (Including TEs) In Madden 13

It's really stupid they have 1 guy doing the ratings, they are just too cheap to outsource it to a collective like Profootball Focus (which the rating person they have actually steals from if you pay attention)

How many non-QB skill position players get a 95 at 32+ years old. Smitty=GOAT.

Jerry Rice was rated at 100 in Madden 99. Thats when he was 35 years old.

i will take 95 since he was like 86 when last years game came out. and vernon davis is a freak and in the prime of his career, what are you guys talking about

We're talking about the fact V. Davis only had like 2 good games of fantasy last year :( I should know, he was the deciding factor, or rather lack of, in a lot of my loses.

Some TE's that had a better season than Davis did last year. Jason Witten, Aaron Hernandez, Tony Gonzalez, Dustin Keller, and Brent Celek. I based this off of receiving yards. He also fumbled 3 times last year while the other guys I mentioned fumbled either 0 or 1 time. He should be a 90 at most overall. Brandon Marshall should be in the top 10 imo.

Some of you need to realize this

Everyone talks about Davis’ pass-catching ability, but the dude is an absolute monster blocking for Frank Gore. Davis is one of the highest-rated impact blockers from the tight end position,

May have something to do with his rating. 292 yards and 4 TDs in the playoffs also helps

    • The last 8 weeks, Nix had 2,022 yards, 21 TDs, 6 INTs on 70% completions While Bryce's last 8 games he had 1,709 yards, 12 TDs (albeit adding 5 more rushing), 3 INTs on 61% completions. I'm not going to pretend I watched those Broncos games to know exactly how Nix actually looked, but in retrospect, his statistics were better.  Hell, in just his final 8 games, Nix has only 5 less TD passes than Bryce has in his 30 game (28 starts) career. And you said he had better WRs than Bryce did, but I'm not even sure that's even true either. Sutton and Thielen might be completely different types of WRs, but I'd say they are pretty equal on effectiveness if not even a slight edge to Thielen (63.6 YPG for Sutton to 61.5 for Thielen).  Then XL and Coker vs Marvin Mims and Devaughn Vale, again, at worst a push, if not lean in our favor there too. Why is it so hard for some Panthers fans to just objectively look at our team/Bryce and be honest with themselves. ? He was significantly improved the final two months of the season from his first season and a half.  But he was still a below average QB during that time, even if he had a few good throws and clutch moments.
    • The Canes physically dominated 2 of the top 16 teams in the league this calendar month. If you truly believe Florida is just that much more physical than us, then what does that say about the rest of the league? Why didn't they go 82-0 this year, if they are orders of magnitude better than every other team?
