Will Kuechly start at MLB this sunday?

What? I hope Davis stays strickly as relief this year so that he gets one year under his belt even if it isnt as a starter. If he makes it through 1 year as a back up we know he is ready for the next step and we get limited production out of him in 2012 instead of 1 week of production.

I'm not big on rookies trying to learn two different positions. The transition to the NFL is tough enough just focusing on one.

U do realize that he started at MLB vs Dolphins right? They had Jason Phillips as MLB for broadcast, but it was def Keuchly.

Plus it's his natural position, so not much of a learning curve there.

Of course he's relief in the REG season, he'd only play two quarters if that, this Sunday.

You say that as if you have some fasinating insight. Everyone is ready to see what TD can do. They may limit him. Or they may run him to death and see how he responds. We have to find out if he can play. Let him run around for three quarters and see how he responds the next few days.

The longer Beast is out, the more important TD becomes. We have to see him play quite a bit in the next few weeks. If he can hold up, we are good to go. If he falters, we found out early.

I would not count TD out just yet.

So you would rather have Davis possibly get injured as a starter this season or have him be the number 1 back-up in the league at OLB at the league veteran minimum wage?

What? I haven't counted TD out. If anything I'm optimistic.

Does anyone think its possible Davis puts his knee woes behind him for good after good rehab and Dr.Andrews doing the surgery?

I don't.

I'm just hoping he can stay healthy enough to play effectively in a reserve role.

Sadly, I think his days as a starter are over.

Not me.

I am prepared to witness and incredibly heart breaking and sad event. TD has the heart and work ethic you almost can only dream of when it comes to playing football. But his body told him no a long time ago.....he just won't listen.

Gantt said it best....he likely is too fast and explosive for his own body. The human body isn't suppose to do what these guys do on Sunday. Unfortunately it is only a matter of time IMO. Very minimal reps is his best shot of completing a full season....any constant role I just don't see happening.

    • I mean, no I’m not going to panic when he got 2 Qs and looked great in 1 and looked not great in another (let’s not mention the drop).    Yeah we finally have a team that would be considered average offensively around him. Let’s roll this season.
    • The woe is me everything but Bryce sucks mantra is stale af my friend. Look nobody here is going to argue with the fact Frank Reich was not a good head coach. At the same time. Bryce Young is now in his second season with his second coaching staff and a handpicked young offensive head coach who has been known for working with QB's such as Baker and Geno. As far as the offensive pieces around Bryce we have the 4th highest salary cap allocation (that might be even higher now after the new Moton deal) dedicated to the OL in the entire league. We have 2 first round WR's one of them 8th overall the first time we've ever selected a WR that high in franchise history. And the fact of the matter is Bryce Young did not have a good preseason. It's not the first time it's happened either. We all hope to see he and the rest of the team flip a switch in week 1. But we should all be able to agree that the offensive performances we've seen from the entire QB room (Bryce included) in preseason was simply unacceptable.
    • We have seen Bryce play… what… 9 games with AT BEST what one would consider NFL average WRs? You just can’t see the forest for the trees and keep going back to your lazy take of revisionist history.    he looked AWFUL Y1 with the worst coaching I’ve ever seen in the NFL and one of the weakest WR rooms I can recall. He looked awful first half of y2 and great second half of y2 with average coaching and average skill position. I don’t know where this elite talent argument even comes from.
