Rivera all but said Smith will be out this week. So thats gonna give the other young guys(aside from Gettis) a chance to "flash" and earn their keeps.

This will be as tough a secondary as we may see all season. I'm excited to see who perfoms when given their chance on the national spotlight against top notch competetion.

They are deep. Revis,Cromartie and Kyle Wilson at Corner. Laron Landry and Yeremiah Bell at safety.

My guess is Lafell and Murphy will see the most time with Tutu,Pilares and Edwards also seeing some first team snaps as well.

Should be noted, the only thing teams have done against the Jets first string D is kick field goals.....

I think people have this penciled in as a practice of us displaying our butt kicking ability......with Smitty out. I think this practice will be ugly.

Purley looking at the stats..They held Eli to 7-14 for 62 yards and Landry got a pick. Hakeem Nicks did not play in this game.

Andy Dalton was 4-9 for 59 yards. 2 of which were dumpoffs to his running back.

Meh, we still have Olsen. And I expect Tolbert to show-case his pass-catching ability. May see Pilares or Adams at slot as well.

Think we run to pass this week and with that being said they will probably pass to run!!

We gonna see just how good Cam can make these receivers look. Brady and Breez are Masters of doing just that and I think Cam

is fixen to make our receivers look Golden. He can throw the long ball and we got some Burners that should stretch the field.

Going to be a great test for our offense and defense is gonna learn a thing or two bout them selves too!!!

Go Panthers!!!!!!!!!!

The Panthers wideouts will. The jets wideouts most certainly will not.

I'd like to point out to everyone that the Jets offense has not scored a passing TD this preseason.

If Holmes is playing....they actually have better odds in the air IMO than we do. He will be the best WR on the field that night.....and our secondary isn't scary like NYJ. Sanchez will also have some time compared to last week since we aren't the Giants front

While I agree Holmes will be the best player on the field if he suits up, we are better than them in every other regard on Offense. With Smith being out Murphy has probably gotten more snaps with Cam than in past weeks. I am far from expecting a shootout, but if anyone has success in the air, my money is on Cam and company vs Sanchez and his crew.

    • It is like when you go to da buffet at da Golden Corral and dey have all dis food and you get the same thing every time.   There is probably something you would like more, but you go to da same ol racks and get da same ol food every time.  Not sure why I am writing in trailer park dialect, but hey, watcha gonna dooo.
    • If we don't go OT, we will regret it.  What bothers me?  Are we going to get a starting-caliber OT at 19?  I think the draft is solid at OT, and the more I read up and watch video, the more I watch Lomu, the more I want him.   I see Freeling as a RT who needs some work in run blocking (since we need to run first, maybe not a good fit) and I see Proctor ending up as a Guard.  After Lomu (assuming Mouigia and fanu are gone), I think we wait until round 2.  In round 2, there are about 3-4 I like (Zuhn--good pass blocker and VERY underrated right now; Tiernan is a very good pass blocker as is Miller from Clemson, but both are not good in the run game.  Max Ixxxxx from Ariz St is impressive too---technically, there is not a of difference in these second tier guys--good in pass pro, need work in the run game.   If we wait until round 2 for an OT, we probably need to sign Nijman and start him early.   I almost think this is what we should do if Lomu is gone.  There is a big dropoff after him, imo, and I think we'd get better value if a stud ILB or edge is there.  Someone like TJ Parker Clemson makes sense. If Lomu is gone, trading back might be the play.
    • And what is x gunna help with except show him what not to do. Plus for the first year and a half he was just an obstacle
