If Joe Adams was.........

If Joe Adams was named Armanti Edwards you guys would be burning his jersey in the streets this morning. Wait, maybe I should have said if he was from App State. Either way, I guess he'll get a pass here or maybe it's just because the whole team was so awful, this doesn't seem like such a big deal. His two drops end up giving NY two field goals. I think I'll take 5 yards from a guy who catches the ball.

Of course, I'm certain someone will make the valid argument that Joe Adams was picked because of Armanti, and that Hurney is to blame for the whole stinking mess--- picking both of them.

Yep, I suppose we'll let Adams slide with the "rookie" label, but that was horrendous. The opening kickoff of the second half, the game was within reach and that drive could have turned the game. We'll never know.

I found it interesting that Armanti did get a kick return opportunity when the game was decided. Was Adams so shell shocked that he couldn't go back out there?

Notice Armanti returned the ball further than Adams did on his return as well - despite the holding call.

Who has said anything like this?

Adams doesn't get a pass but armanti has had his chances.

He was the worst punt returner in the league last year. Time to move on.

get your fuging app state butt hurt out of here. nobody gives a poo right now.

hell i'm an app state grad and i think you're full of poo

Ouch, between your avatar and your very thoughtful, but barely literate response, I'm wishing you hadn't mentioned that you went to ASU.

Would you rather have a guy who drops two balls in one game, which leads to two scores or a guy who catches the ball and gains a few yards each time? Yeah, I'd rather have something better than either of those choices too, but we haven't been presented with much else at this point.

And by the way, I think a post about a guy who is responsible for two turnovers is very legitimate and comparing his performance to the other players is also a worthy discussion. And yes, I am full of poo, but that is beside the point.

on man i'm so embarrassed geez. i sure do look dumb!

the victim complex app state fans have on this board gets tiresome. edwards got a pass similar to adams in 2010 and into 2011 even though he played nearly as poorly. we're on year three with him and we've seen almost zero development from him as a returner or wide receiver. you also seem to have forgotten that edwards had a terrible tendency to put the ball on the ground at the same point in his career as well. he was so bad in the preseason it got him benched and replaced by munnerlyn as the primary punt returner in 2010.

they're both terrible and it doesn't fuging matter. the whiny tone in your first post reeks of rearranging deck chairs on the titanic.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
