After coaches' film review, LB @50janderson was credited w/ a new single-game #Panthers record 20 tackles vs. Giants. Previous record was 18

To clarify: @50janderson 20 tackles are a regular season single-game record.

Geez, James Anderson now has #Panthers records for most tackles in a game, most games played by a LB & most tackles in a season by an LB.

Anderson has been our best LB overall this season. Of course, that's with TD being limited and Beason playing like he's a freshman in college again, but still. Congrats, James!

Although, this is just the regular season record, right? I could have sworn Dan Morgan had 25 in the Super Bowl, though that was the unofficial count by the coaching staff.

But..But.. according to Bill Voth and Grantland he is below average and didn't deserve his contract!

2 down LB paid like an every down LB.

He is overpaid. But on a poo defense guys get over valued and overrated. Anderson is a solid 2 down LB.....nothing more. What is sad is he consistently does his job....while others don't

I don't see him as a 2 down LB. I think he is an every down LB. At least, he has the athletic ability and the discipline to be. I think there is a coaching issue at the LB level in zone coverage. We sit back and don't attack short crossing routes. That is an issue, and I like to think pro-level LBs are smart enough to know better. That HAS to be coaching.

Look at the deal the saints gave Curtis Lofton. James Anderson was cheaper and is a better LBer. Also I don't think Godfrey's contract is that bad either. Like everyone always says if our front 4 was better he wouldn't be making so many tackles down field.

Edit: Oh and Martin and now Nakamura are not giving him any help back there either.
