Little talk of the HUGE screen TD pass to Turner

Lol since it's already out.

Funny story today.

Carl Torbush was telling him that he knew a Mike Minter that played for Boise State before Minter played college ball and he told Mike that he kept mistaking him for that guy until he realized that Minter went to Nebraska.

Minter also told a pretty awesome story about his father. Minter said he never knew his father growing up because he died when he was real young but during predraft visits he went to the Jets facilities to visit with Coach Parcells and he told the secretary his name and the secretary told him that he grew up with a Mike Minter Sr. in Cleveland. Cleveland happens to be where Mike is from it turns out, the secretary at the Jets facilities was good friends with Mike's dad when they were growing up in high school.

Finally we got on the subject of App State and Torbush asked what happened to that Edwards fellow that went there (referring to Armanti). Minter quickly shoots back "you know who he plays for?" and points at himself lol.

It looked more like holding. You could even see Gonzo reach out and try to grab Capt's jersey again once he got away. Nonetheless, everyone is right; time to move on.

Well, blocking 7 yards downfield before a pass is thrown is offensive pass interference....but they could of also called holding after the pass. Multiple fouls on Tony setting that up right in the middle of the action.

I'm sure my neighbors 5-6 houses down from me heard me screaming that " son of a bitch Gonzalez was holding like a motherf*cker"

When u are a player with the legacy of Gonzalez u get that call 9/10 times.

Still not an excuse for the defensive play and the infamous 4th and 1 punt that will go down in panther history.

Didn't realize that he was blocking that early, if so that just makes the botched call worse. When you can flag someone for two separate penalties; you know there is something wrong. Now I'm not one to say that this could have changed the outcome of the game, but you never know.

Yeah, he locked Captain up and started blocking 7 yards downfield before it was thrown.....almost as if he thought it was a run.

That kept going on about how absurd it was....Rivera just implied they would turn it in

I like how you are reluctant to reveal your "source" because of strict web monitoring, but once it's suggested, you spill all this. Classic.

Every man dies, not every man lives - William Wallace

I can't help it, this is bothering me. If you are going to quote William Wallace then please get it right.

Now back on topic, yes, that was a hold by Tony G. Who cares? 50% of holds don't get called. The Panthers D should be ashamed they let the slowest RB in the league score his first receiving TD on them like that,

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
