Does Pilares get more playing time?

I can't believe some people were actually questioning if Pilares would make the team this year.

It's pretty clear he is explosive with the ball in his hands and is a threat once he makes the catch. I'd like to see him in the slot more often on crossing routes where he can get a mismatch on a LB. Once he makes him miss I like his chances to go the distance. Remember he has experience as a RB so any space and I think he has the ability to be a threat. Murphy hasn't shown me much of anything.

Murphy is limited. Runs a deep vertical well but that is it....also wouldn't trust him unless he had a step. Not sure he can use his body to go up and get one.

I would like us to find a slot guy to gameplan in for some quick hitters. Our O is missing that. Pilares, AE or even Adams should be involved

Cam seems to be less accurate / comfortable with short / quick routes than deeper throws. That probably contributes to our not using this style of pass more often as much as the players that would be the targets.

Well it also doesn't mesh with Chud's background.

But I agree with you

He should get more time. As I have said before I would like to see more 4 and 5 WR sets to mix things up in our offense. He def could run under routes and make people pay.

Also opens it up for easy yards for Cam. You come out with a 5 receiver set, Cam lines up at shotgun, then takes off for at least 5 easy yards. You keep the same formation and work the middle(pass) if they key on Cam...

You're welcome Chud
