No sense of urgency in Rivera's voice...

I really hate Ron Rivera as a head coach. How did he even have a good defense with the Bears or with San Diego? He can't motivate for ****!

He knows defense, but HC controls the whole team. Thats why he sucks

I wonder does McDermott know anything about offense? Atleast I know he fuging moves talks and motivates

Remember my recent Cam thread right. Yes, players reflect their coaches and they're fuging lost

Listening to him after the game, I really don't know if he knows his team is 1-4.

Might explain how this team plays with no sense of urgency.

When I listened to him on Panther talk after Atlanta he sounded like JR has given him as long as he needs - I said it then - he needs to be taken off his mega dose of wellbutin and brought back to reality

It's becoming more and more apparent he isn't cut out for the job. The quesion remains though... As long as Richardson is the owner, does it matter?

Hurney is just as equally responsible for our failures as anyone, will he be shown the door? Will Richardson quit being a stubborn old fool and embrace the modern NFL?

    • This whole thing is sooooooooo dumb, why any of this is an ongoing news story is ridiculous. There are only 2 people who should actually care about this, his wife and her husband. Affairs happen, not that I'm saying it's okay to cheat, but at worst, the only "bad thing" that could be coming around from this affair is that information was passed between them, the same type of info that any coach and journalist who are friends may share with each other to help the other out. The Patriots shouldn't care as long as it doesn't affect his focus on the team.  And those saying that he's lost the locker room and their respect over the "lying" have to be fooling themselves.  Half the players in that locker room are more than likely actively or previously have cheated on their significant other.  So it's not like they're looking at him saying, "what a liar and terrible person, I can't trust him as my coach anymore"
    • Seriously?!?! First SNF game of the year and it's two teams that didn't make the playoffs last year? I thought they always made that Week 1 SNF game a banger with two great teams from the previous season. EDIT:  Just looked, last year was Bills-Ravens, previous season was Lions-Rams, Giants-Cowboys ironically before that (but both coming off the playoffs).  From what I can tell, this will be the first time since 2020 that SNF's week 1 game isn't 2 teams from the playoffs the year before, and the Cowboys were in that one too, against the Rams who also didn't make it the year before.
