Emotional Leader?

Charles Godfrey is actually one of the most emotional leaders on this team. There's a reason he got a captains 'C' last year when Davis and Beason went down. Most of you guys make fun of him or dislike when he gets so pumped or tries to get the other players in the game after a big play.

Godfrey celebrates if he makes a tackle for a 15yd gain.....yes, I have a problem with that.

It can get annoying but that's just how he plays. He's an emotional guy and he's always trying to keep his teammates pumped up.

Norman is already probably the most vocal guy on our defense which is lame...

Cam will be the emotional leader in a couple years when he starts winning consistently.

it should be cam.

there is no one on the team and few in the league who could pull a team with his persona the way he does.

he is an emotional leader, but instead of firing people up as he should and is able to do, he is in need of it himself.

he just has to get a grip and get his mind where it was when he was at blinn and auburn. he made those teams better than what they were. he can do that with the panthers.

i think that will happen at some point, but until it does we are going to be stuck with being underwhelming and underachieving.

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
