Three and outs on the first series of the game

Is a regular occurence, and this is another problem I have with Chuds shitty playcalling. We gave gone three and out on the first offensive series all fuging year long. Get your head out of your ass idiot.

It's not just the first possession, it happens way too often throughout games.

Without looking, I'd say our amount of 3 and outs on drives after we have taken the lead are right up there with the amount of 3 and outs on the first possession.

And the amount of 3 and outs throughout game is why our offense has been so stagnant in general.

Atlanta was the only game I remember where we scored on first possession. And our D kept them from scoring on theirs, something they'd done every game previous. Why does it usually take a series or two, and a score for the other team, to get poo going?

I kept on saying this Sunday. I was like nice run for one on first down. Okay, way to go with the read option for negative two on second. It is like our OC is trying to engineer a third and long. I love seven step drops with our patch work o-line. Then Cam gets mashed on third or someone runs a route just short of the marker. Man, I think I am starting to get why people think its only Cam's fault. Its like its a huge poo sandwich and we're all gonna have to take a bite.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
