Michael Jordan advice Cam Newton

Dont carry the the burden all by yourself

"Yes," Jordan says. "Obviously he’s trying to put a lot of things on his back and that’s human nature. Sometimes when you expect so many great things you want to carry that burden yourself. And its virtually impossible.

"He’s going to have to get the support of his team -- obviously the organization is supporting him--and grind through this. He’s got to look at himself in the mirror. Every leader in any scenario always must look himself in the mirror and say, 'Can I do more?' or 'What can I do to enhance the scenario with my teammates to pull them along?' or do whatever I can to try to make the situation better.

"That would be my advice. Look yourself in the mirror and say OK, evaluate what I'm doing, evaluate what needs to be done and see what I can do to help."

Idiot statement...man calls Jordan a joke....now we can see who the joke is.

That was actually a decent little read and some good advice from Jordan.

As an owner, Jordan is a joke and a failure.

As a player.....one of the greatest of all time (no matter what the sport)

Go *** yourself

They guy has been a disaster at everything he's done outside of playing on the court. As an owner and a "basketball" guy he's been maybe the worst at what he does. His team is a laughing stock of the NBA.

But in this situation, his ownership is irrelevant

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
