Watching ESPN trying to "hype" this game has been hilarious...

Awesomeness!!

I have been jokingly running my mouth to Eagles fans all weekend. They usually just look up and give me a "yeah." through a half-smile... I can see where your amusement comes from. A considerable amount of tiem Mondays is dedicated to hypin the night's game, but this has to be a struggle for even a seasoned analyst/announcer...

Im still going to watch all 60 minutes....

People will watch because of one Mr. Cameron Newton. He has become one of the more polarizing figures in sports. Many will be rooting for him to fall on his face. Many will be rooting for him to succeed. Many will be watching just because he makes their heart flutter (don't believe me just search his name on twitter, the ladies love Cam).

Nothing short of total domination will be a disappointment.

The NFL is spreading itself too thin with all these primetime games on Thursday, Sunday night and Monday. I know they like to focus on parity but there just arent enough good games every to fill all the primetime spots without making the early Sunday and afternoon games suffer

I agree 100%. There aren't enough games on Sunday, which sucks. The Thursday night thing is stupid.

people will watch it just because it's MNF. and as bad as it is this week, most who subject themselves to MNF week after week are used to the majority of them being bad games with bad teams, many of which you find yourself asking, "now why in the world would they have thought this would be a good game?" at least with this one you could kind of tell why they thought it would be interesting when they scheduled it...vick vs. newton. past vs. future. or some nonsense like that. just thinking espnstyle.

Yeah I was driving to work on Saturday morning and was listening to whatever national show was on ESPN or WFNZ and the guy called Monday "catch up on his DVR night" - LOL

This is a sh1t game but people are still going to watch. I've watched every Thursday game this year and they've been lame for the most part.

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
