I will with hold judgement until the saints game. Last year we played well against bad opponents, then they smashed us. If that happens this year a new staff is defintely necessary. If we finish 7-9 with 5 wins and a given away game out of the last six. Im willing to give rivera one more year. That is wayyyyyy more for Cam keeping the same system, then a stamp of approval for Ron.

And this Steelers team has been without Big Ben for weeks now. The Ben comes back and struggle against the Chargers because he has not been under center for weeks. So that's why the Steelers didn't win. Duh!!

We're a 7-9 type team, 8-8 if it weren't for a crappy play by Naka. Stil a ways to go to be a yearly Playoff team.

You are forgetting the games that we flat gave away....

Chicago game that we dominated.....the Seattle game where cam missed the wide open TE....the TB game where we had the 11 pt lead and brain farted the last series away.

This team could EASILY be 8-6 or 9-5 right now.

They are absolutely a playoff team right now....but a ways to go from really challenging for a championship.

He didn't have time.

Downfield routes need time to develop. Rivers was under pressure too quickly for that.

The Panthers might be a LITTLE better than their record indicates. They should have beaten Atlanta twice and Tampa the second time. BUT they are 5-9. They killed San Diego but the same thing happened last year when they killed Tampa Bay late in the 2011 season. Beating up on bad teams late in the season means nothing. Beating good teams early in the season means something, and the Panthers haven't managed to do that since 2008.

A couple of close-up shots of Philip Rivers' face really showed that he just didn't care anymore. It was great to see a win though...

Too bad RR would have never been so bold in a game that we needed to win.

Our team next year will be defined by which players are willing to restructure their contracts. As of now, we are going to need to get 5 or 6 players to take a pay cut (I am looking at you RB's, Gamble, Gross, Beason) If these players are true leaders and really want a superbowl, we will need restructuring. This team is not going to be able to do anything without help from the players.

If not, we have tons of youthful talent ready to step up and take your positions.
