I don't think he is terrible but we can definitely do better. Please tell me Lafell is coming back this weekend...

What did Chicago give up for Brandon Marshall again, a third rounder? Instead we trade for Murphy, LOL.

I'm pretty sure Lafell was active Sunday.

Why waste a Third round pick on a proven commodity and playmaker?

At least it was a 7th rounder for Murphy, Hurney knew what he was getting with this pick.

I mean it is not like we traded a 2nd to get a QB to convert to a WR..ha ha that would be insane..right?

WASTE???

SERIOUSLY???

I would have traded A LOT more than just a third for Brandon Marshall, he would have fit PERFECT on this team.

I have a feeling that we could go WR in the draft. We need a #1. Smith and Adams in the slot. Gettis and Lafell. By Murphy, Pilares, and Edwards to arena league. I think there are some good WRs in the draft, but perhaps only Allen (cal) from Greensboro, I think, has the stuff to take over as a #1 from day 1. (I have not studied the group from Tennessee, however).

Brandon Marshall would have been a cancer on this team the same as he was his last year for Denver (without Cutler) and for Miami (without Cutler).

The only cure for Marshall cancer is the Cutler treatment.

But more likely is Marshall would have pouted when more balls went Smitty and Olson's way.

Or Smitty would have pouted when more balls went Marshall or Olson's way.

Either way, somebody's gonna pout. :lol:

And you just said yourself that is due to him having a damn good roster around him and they are well coached. You're even saying the bad baker is still there somewhere, but he is in a good organization with good roster and coaching that they are getting the best out of him. Why does Baker and Sam get all that benefit of the doubt but when it comes to Bryce it must be a BY9 problem, not an org or team problem?  Hell I got a guy below you arguing with me that Chark/Hurst/Mingo sucked because Bryce wouldn't throw them open. It's ridiculous how far the stretch goes.

      Correct.  It’s really hard to get open in the NFL when opposing defenses gameplan and cheat coverage/routes on all your players because they know your QB can’t make certain throws/plays.   magically no one that comes to Carolina can get open or make plays with the ball in their hands…..it’s like there is one singular common dominator to it all.  BY makes playing defense way too easy.   NFL players are too good to allow one side to cheat coverage and not respect all the potential threats of a route  so you can dial up a great play.  But if corners and safeties just cheat coverage and know X and Y happening on route/threats….getting open gets hard when they just play it one way.  Getting open has a lot to do with the different threats a WR can pose on a given play.

      Kinda depends how you look at it both were 3rd round draft pics.  Nico was nothing before stroud and tank came in with stroud.  If both were on the panthers would young have them doing well and starting or would their stats be low.  I really dont know the answer to that.  None of the panthers wrs have left and did well either but personally i feel neither of nico or tank would do much on the panthers.
