I am ok with this. I just hope they staff doesnt go back to full retard, get all gimicky, and start horribly next season. The Panthers need to come out of the gate and start strong. I much rather have Rivera than starting over with another cooridinator or college HC and see if they are any good.

It was a good decision

However I do find it funny that JR hired (and payed) Accorsi to find a GM that happened to already be on the staff.

A Beane, a Brandon Beane

Beane magic!!!

I think it would be less of #beanemagic and more of #beanetragic

Should always remember....Belichick is regarded as the best coach in the NFL for years now. Just like players, coaches grow and evolve.

There is positive with RR. Built a top 10 D with no secondary and weak DTs.

Forward thinking with his offense

So now we can look forward to fewer of the "chip kelly is so wonderful threads",and "Rivera needs to go" to be replaced with, "Panthers accept mediocrity", "we are going to suck", "lets trade Cam so he can play on a good team" threads...............

Oh Joy..........................

congrats to the fans comfortable with mediocre play and management to scared of the uknown...not confident enough in Cam to change....yes, Beane/Rivera should have enough wins next season to trend up, 8-8 or maybe 7-9 with more close games. The beane/rivera isn't a 'troll' comment, only a newbie would think so. With JR, it is very possible we do not have a GM. I don't see how this move helps the GM search at all...Also if we start out 1-5 yet again expect nothing to happen until the end of the season...maybe. The uknown won't be the undoing of Cam, it will be the supid playcalling of RIvera/Chud.

    • It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.
    • That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
