Players that are screwed now

only person on that list i see as being potentially 'screwed' is gettis... all the rest are rivera guys and only been around for a year. can't see how they'll magically be ousted based solely on the fact that rivera is being retained

Joe Adams and Josh Norman were both benched for extended periods of time under Rivera. I don't think they're any more "his guys", than anybody else. They were all drafted by Hurney.

Gettis sadly won't be retained... And then he'll go to somebody else in the Division and become The perennial Pro Bowler that we all know he will be.

Gettis is by far the most overrated player on this message board. Yes, he caught 3 big balls way back in 2010....3 plays and in 2010 have people thinking we have AJ Green sitting on the sideline.

yeah, i can see the argument for them both being in rivera's doghouse... but as much as people want to hate rivera, he's not dumb enough to ignore the potential of these guys.

you can't bail on these rookies yet, even if they were hurney picks... still a lot of potential to the picks

Why do people think Rivera dislikes Gettis? He missed most of practice and had been hurt for awhile. Maybe, just maybe, he really wasn't ready to contribute in this offense?

You guys jump to a conclusion way too quickly.

    • Yeah it is nice seeing some improvement on the defensive side and the young guys.   I don’t want to think about the future much if Bryce doesn’t heal and we are kept in this limbo via an incomplete test. It is depressing  I don’t have quite as dim a view of the 24 draft class as you do   I have modest hopes for XL compared to none. I like CSW.  Am a little cooler on Sanders but at the same time realized this week that Morgan getting that future 2nd for moving down turned into Scourton. I think. Jackson is a real value in exchange for the guy we took with the 7th. I don’t expect anything from Brooks but Wallace seems to have improved enough to not bust. And Coker is in with them, but is giving us nothing this year. So far, and it is almost half over     I hope Andy still has enough to make watching the offense less of a claustrophobic experience. And there is a small chance we upset the Bills but just playing them tough and making it a fun game to watch will be enough.
    • Bryce haters gunna hate.  Can't change that. Bryce has been pretty durable all things considered.  A couple minor injuries considering how much he was hammered year 1.  And he still takes hits.  Dude is tough. The play in question is a football play, poo happens.  That's ultimately what happened.  Guys running around, trying to stop Young and stuff happened.  Sucks but that's how it goes. For me, I'd rather see Young play.  He will either prove that he's the Dude, a JAG (leaning heavily right now), or an outright bust (some of you were there on draft night, lol)
    • I think we need to let the 2025 class develop. Remember at one point early during last season the 2024 class was gonna be a killer. And we had all kinds of people chirping about how the 2021 Draft was the greatest of all time. Early returns are promising. Let's hope it continues.
