Arguments you'll hear from mentally challenged people for Warmack this coming draft season which should send a red flag up in your mind each and every time

1. "He's the safe prospect!"

2. "BPA bruh!"

3. He's a dominant run blocker! We can get back to REAL football!"

Why you so mad about Warmack? Who's your guy?

How about:

1. "He fills the most glaring need on the team!"

2. "He's one of the highest grading guard prospects in a decade."

3. "He's a dominant blocker. We can actually run up the middle when we need to late in the game. Oh and we can prevent Cam from being hit more than any other QB, and give him room to step up in the pocket".

It's not at all unusual to see current players lobby the team to draft an old teammate of theirs from high school or college.

It's conceivable Newton could try to get the team to go after Warmack, and it actually would make plenty of sense (especially for Newton, who'd like to be able to stay upright).

We have the 14th pick. To me this draft isn't nearly as exciting as the previous couple of drafts...we have some holes that need plugging (ha..ha)....but seriously how can we not take this guy if he's available at this spot. It's not a pretty pick but this guy is a rhino in the trenches...and would fill a need on our offensive line that needs major upgrading. Also comes from a winning program...we need winners along with talent

I really like Warmack. We're sort of caught in a conundrum this off season. We're presented with the unfortunate task of cutting some value vets at some important position, namely Jordan Gross. However given the strength of this draft maybe we should draft BPA as opposed solely on need. I suspect a good way to protect Cam in the passing game also might be rebuilding the interior of the line to help our running game. We have been rotating RG's for years, While Silatolu has actually progressed throughout the year, Warmack would take the pressure off. Imagine LG Silatolu C Kalil RG Warmack. That's s formidable inside push inside. Gross could be restructure and we may wait one more year to go LT in round 1. Even with this on the table, I still wouldn't be surprised if they took two OL in the first two rounds though, unless Hopkins is there.

Most of us on here agree that's there's a need for WR. The wildcard in all this is Brandon Lafell. Lafell is a good player and keeps improving and Rivera really likes him. Is there a possibility that RR isn't as worried as all of us about that position?

These same people said the same stuff about Luke Kuechly, and they were right.

    • As long as Morgan is the GM, Young will be the QB. Young is 100% Morgan's guy. The contract extension is pretty much guaranteed unless Young suffers a career ending injury this season.
    • People really need to stop placing Dan Morgan on some kind of infallible pedestal. He is absolutely in lockstop with Tepper regarding Bryce and has been all along. As far as the team being okay with 185 passing yards per game. We better have a proven monster RB in our backfield then. Presently that guy is not on the roster. Chuba has one outlier season so far and the other guys have proven nothing. Not what you would call a great recipe. The only thing we can hope at this juncture is that the highest paid OL in the league for the second year in a row elevates their play from last season and opens up some massive holes even our RB's can get through. But it still doesn't resolve the issue of predictability. With no viable passing game it is much easier to shut down any run game. No defenses are scared of Bryce's arm. It is what it is.
    • i lived in Atlanta from 84'to 92' & back then it was indeed a very different time without the internet & access to information 24/7. shortly after i moved back home to western NC around 93' or 94' the Carolina Panthers were awarded an NfL franchise & began their inaugural season in 95' so ike you i have seen the Carolina Panthers, ,the NFL ,technology, fans all evolve over the many a moon & years now some for the better & others not so ...just saying
