dude has been coaching various positions for a long, long time. he was washington's runningbacks coach when stephen davis was tearing it up, then coached wide receivers for the bengals in 04-06, when chad johnson and tj houshmanzada were blowing up the league. the only real stain on his record was a stint with the falcons under petrino as OC, and then he went to baltimore and coached joe flacco to postseason appearances and then turned the raiders' offense into a powerhouse.

hue jackson is incredibly qualified and i want him.

In his last stop in a true OC role, Jackson made an immediate impact in Oakland. The 2010 Raiders finished with 10th in total yards, and sixth in scoring -- despite playingJason Campbell and Bruce Gradkowski at quarterback. He's known for his belief in power running, and a knack for working with a variety of different quarterbacks.

Hue Jackson would offer an excellent replacement for Rob Chudzinski, all while adding a wealth of experience to the organization -- this would be a very good hire. The New York Jets have also expressed interest.

Don't know about selling him, but:

RB coach for Stephen Davis up in WAS for 2 years. WR coach for Johnson/Housh in CIN for a few years, Flacco's QB coach for his first and second year, was the OC in OAK for a year and they were top ten in scoring. Became the HC there, made a stupid, desperate trade for Palmer and was fired after going 8-8 when they got a new GM. Currently back with the Bengals as an Assistant ST and Assistant DB coach.

Well regarded as an offensive guy.

He did a lot of interesting things with the hybrid fullback Marcel Reece, who was more a of a natural receiver coming into the league. He got a good rushing attack going with Darren McFadden and made Jason Campbell look like a pro bowler for a little while. He was the driving force behind the Carson Palmer trade after Campbell got hurt, so don't let him have any GM duties. . . ever. Probably a good pick to coordinate.
