Chip Kelly to eagles.

if he takes off i hope you eat those words

angry much brah?

Kelly is far from a slam dunk coach, his offense in college was predicated on a system that won't directly translate to the NFL and he has no NFL experience.

Jim harbaugh was a NFL player for 13 years and even made a probowl in 95 on top of all his coaching accomplishments. Pete Carroll had years of coaching and later head coaching expirence before he ever went to USC

Those two guys are the reason why NFL owners are even considering college coaches again after a string of disasters.

Personally I think overall Brian Kelly would be the better of the two Kelly's if he made the jump. I'm just so so on chip

plus he didn't really have that great of a history with duck boosters (he didn't kiss their ass so they thought they could do better than the guy that gave them more wins than any other coach they've had).

He had a great relationship with the only Duck booster that mattered.

Your respond is predicated on the assumption that kelly is taking his offensive system and forcing it to a team that cant do it. Thats not going to happen. What hes bring is a no huddle up tempo offense which we already know works in the NFL threw NE. We know he can win against good college programs with not the best of recruits and take a mediocre program to 4 bowl games straight.

The NFL is an ever changing product and has moved to an offensive dominated game. He will work in the NFL and I just dont understand why people dont think he will pan out.

and no im not mad, just taking people to task when he does in fact win in the NFL especially with an offensively talented team and no a bad d unit that just needs good coaching to be brought out.

I will be surpeised if he is successful. How many college coaches with 0 NFL experience have nade it? Jimmy Johnson..........any others? He is smart and creative (we have recently experienced that those qualities are not all they are cracked up to be), and he may defy the odds. I would not bet on it. Makes the Eagles seem desperate.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
