If you were starting a defense or offense with one player from each side past or present Panthers players. Who would you pick?

You guys are forgetting the minister of defense. While we didn't get him n his prime this wish list would make it that way.

Offense

Cam Newton , Steven Davis, Steve Smith

Defenses

Reggie White ( 28 years young), Julius Peppers, Luke Kueckly

This, except I would take the 2008 Williams over Davis

mills did build rep elsewhere but to me we are chooseing people to 'represent' the panthers, not represent the successes of the panthers.

so preformance come second to heart/character. Smitty is a pretty easy pick, mills and davis to me had more heart that Greene or Reggie...Delhomme would be good too..

all matter of opinion but thats what I got from 'represent' the panthers. I picked smitty and davis because I believe the best heart comes from players who are challenged (belived to be too small a la smitty/mills, or not being able to come back like TDavis did which astounds me to this day and is why I choose him.

    • It's going to take time to really evaluate new ownership. I still have some hopes that they can get us past the curse of the Jordan years. We got screwed over by the league with the lottery yet again, nothing in this draft was ever going to make people happy after that happened.
    • The Hornets were screwed when they lost out on the #1 pick. Outside of Cooper Flagg this was a terrible draft class full of risky prospects and red flags. Kon Knueppel likely won't ever be a superstar - or even a star, realistically - but he can be a solid contributor for a long time in the league. That's actually more than I think will end up being the case for many of these players.
    • I guess we should disregard what all these places say about our draft? And just trust you guys on this board? And as far as the Mark Williams trade, most places are saying we got the much better end of that trade for what its worth to yall. Bleacher report has Kon a "B", BR has him C+, Fansided A-, NBC Sports overall draft an A-, Sports Illustrated overall A-, MSN has Kon a B+, Yahoo Sports has us at an A- overall. Here is what ESPN posted:  Post-Draft Analysis Knueppel's well-rounded perimeter game and terrific 3-point shooting ultimately won out in Charlotte's decision process, with the Hornets attracted to his fit with their current roster and his long-term potential. He should help stabilize their perimeter minutes immediately, with his dependability all season at Duke a major selling point. The Hornets were thought to be exploring moves here, but were content to simply grab their guy and move forward. This is a strong match that should pay off right away for both sides. -- Jeremy Woo
