SO..my wife's picky ass mom always picks any pizza to death, takes off all the toppings and makes an "eww" face the whole time, IT DRIVES ME BONKERS!!! that's just the tip of the iceberg about her pickiness, she won't even use toothpaste to brush her teeth, she use mouthwash and a toothbrush because "toothpaste tastes bad."

ANYWAYS...at dinner tonight, my wife made polish sausages. I never complain about food, not even wrong orders at restaurants, but my wife made the ultimate disgrace to polish sausage by adding ketchup and mustard to hers, and then did not eat her last piece.

To not waste, i decided to eat the last piece. i refused to eat it with condiments on it, and I wanted to wash it off or wipe it off. My wife proceeds to act like a fugin fool over the fact that I didn't want condiments on my sausages, and insists its crazy to not just eat it as is.

Was I in the wrong any way at all there? Why does she think its normal for her mom to eat so picky and me to not want to ruin wonderful sausages???

Judging from your post, you were more than likely insulting to her preferred method of dressing a polish sausage. It was more than likely that she was being reactionary towards that than actually giving a poo if you wanted to wash off the condiments.

Did you just wipe it off quietly hoping for to not notice or did you make a production out of it? If you made it a point of contention, that may be why it escalated. If you just quietly did it and she took offense, that's a bit overboard.
