This team is on the brink of absolutely falling to pieces. I just don't know how Richardson expects this kind of model to be able to sustain itself. He's destroying this franchise and it's sad to watch.

How is he destroying this franchise when THERE'S NO fuging CAP SPACE? This is a result of Hurney's reckless spending for our own overrated players.

lol at those of you who so desperately cling to the cap excuse

You think we're the only team in the league that has had financial issues? Of course not. But other teams make the moves and cuts needed to go where they want to go.

I know some of you only watch the panthers so I'll cut you some slack, but the rest of the league has proven a hundred times over how easy it is to manipulate the cap to do what you need to

Our GM however isn't given such freedom, as we couldn't possibly part with our dear beloved RB

Some of you are so near sighted that you can't see that there is one common denominator in all of this and it's the tubby miser sitting high in his offices hiding away from the harsh realities of the real world dreaming of the good ole days, and it's bringing the entire organization down with him

You mean the reckless spending Hurney did....directly after his owner was called a cheap son of B the offseason prior?

Hurney didn't just give crazy after crazy deal to beloved Panthers without Mr. Pie Chart paying attention. I still think Hurney is largely a scapegoat. Followed what JR wanted largely at the end.....was ready to get out of football and had no issue being the blame guy.

31 NFL other teams would have aleady cut DeAngelo Williams if he didn't agree to a paycut yesterday. They would have taken the millions in cap space created this year and next. The dead money would be something they gladly ate.

Because the Eagles have done so well with their big FA pickups. Asomugha, DRC, Cullen Jenkins, Jason Babin, Ronnie Brown all huge recent FA acquisitions. Eagles never made the playoffs with those guys and now 2 years later they are all gone. We are at a cap disadvantage as a team now but we have the players to win now as well.

Now let's try to explain away the success of teams like New England and San Fran who have both relied heavily on free agency to bolster their team and found extreme success doing it shall we?

The Eagles have one of the worst front offices in the league. Assembling a team that can't play together falls on nobody but them.

    • Appreciate that, bro!  And I could definitely see that with Cam.  Even though he’s a little younger than me, he is also someone I admire and feel a kinship with for a lot of various reasons. Funny enough, a few years after that encounter with Steve, I went to Charlotte with one of my friends whose brothers owned a moving company at the time.  He dropped me off uptown and went to work the day with them where I would wait until he got done and then we were gonna go to the Bobcats game that night.  So I walk all through that area for hours.  After awhile, I walk back towards the arena and sit in a bench on the backside of the arena, where the practice court and player’s entrance was.  As I’m sitting there, I look up and almost think I’m seeing things - I squint and blink my eyes a couple times just to be sure, and yes…  it’s one of my childhood heroes, Muggsy Bogues walking across the crosswalk and into the arena.  I think he was coaching the Sting then, iirc.  Part of me wanted to just say, “Hey!  Muggsy!  Thank you for the inspiration and memories!  You were one of my favorite players as a kid!”  But, I just watched him walk by and into the arena and thought, “that was cool!”  I also so Miguel Cotto a couple years back while in Orlando and told my kids who it was but didn’t say anything to him.  I think somewhere in my subconscious, that encounter with Steve really made me feel like the gamble on finding out if they’re receptive to interaction just isn’t worth finding out.  At the end of the day, no matter if they’re receptive inspired us or were a hero, unless they initiate it, I likely never will…  because again, they’re humans just like us.  Not anymore unique or special, they just have a highly visible and very public job that we get to watch and in some ways participate.  So, I just appreciate it for what it is.
    • I'm pleasantly surprised they gave it to Bryce Young over Josh Allen. Finally we're getting some respect. Now I'm just hoping the team follows this up accordingly and doesn't lay another egg.
    • What weird blood red moon has cast its spell?  What’s next, dogs and cats sleeping together? Bonus question:  Did Canales open up his playbook or did Bryce find an extra high gear in his stick shift?
