Emmanuel Sanders to Patriots for 3rd round pick?

Patriots loading up...

Restricted free agent Emmanuel Sanders is visiting the Patriots on Friday.

Power move. Even low-level restricted free agents rarely escape their tendering team, but the Steelers find themselves in a mess of a cap situation. Sanders is tendered at the original-round level, which means the Patriots would only have to surrender a third-round pick if they signed him to an offer sheet Pittsburgh couldn't match. The Patriots — as you may have heard — have a ton of 2013 cap room left, and could offer a front-loaded deal Pittsburgh didn't have a legitimate chance of matching. Just 26 years old (on Sunday) with 94 catches in three seasons, Sanders would be worth a third-round gamble. He can play all three receiver spots, and has 4.4

ohhh lawwd steelers are in troublezzzz....lol...but their gm did find all those guys(wr) the 3rd-7th rounds rounds.......they got a solid staff and a top 5 coach.....something the panthers need.

big ben is a bit more clutch than cam for now, but when i looked at the statistics, cam had a WAY bigger impact on his team in his rookie year than big ben did,

I've said it before in this last three days: In the short term I like our chances better than the Steelers'. Of course they can have a couple of good drafts and be right back on top. Or, at least, Steelers' fans would like to think so (based on their historical continuity). But, it may take them three to four years to seriously compete. But, they are the Steelers.

    • I was playing around with the ESPN playoff predictor and it shows if 49ers and Rams finish with same record, the Rams hold the tiebreaker.
    • This is my thinking as well. Seattle played as good as they could on defense and Panthers still had a chance until those back to back turnovers.  I don't think the Rams played particularly well in their game against us, alot things went our way in order to win.  Someone pointed out the Rams were bad on the east coast road games and Seattle has been the better road team but they just fought a hard contested game against the Panthers, and now they travel to San Fran this week for their biggest game of the season to determine the division and if they are the overall #1 seed in the NFC or will be traveling for the Wildcard weekend.  If they lose they then travel back cross the country to play a team they've just beaten two weeks ago, not saying they won't be favored against the Panthers but the energy of hosting our first playoff game in 10 years along with the get back effect of having just lost to this team could be huge.
    • I don’t know about shadowing and all that, but according to this, whatever we are doing is working
