Game day music

Brooklyn Bully & Doyle. I can pick what I like and I've done this for over 20+ years in the private event industry. But asking real fans for their advice gives me a broader range of ideas. We're talking 60K fans that come from all walks of life. As to other stadiums, they are worse, playing the same songs over and over. I even went to Dallas to see a game last season and get ideas. It's not about me. It's about trying to make the game the best experience possible and input (good input) will help do that.

I'd go to a genre-specific forum if you want suggestions for GOOD music. If you want to make they mainstream happy (which is what this board and the stadium will mostly be), then carry on, good sir. I used to work in a record store. Anything I suggested would be incredible, but unknown, lol. But if I were you, I'd do it on my own. 20+ years means you're smarter than the average person. Expand their musical horizons.

Forget the music... just trash the other team with sound effects.

Other team's WR drop a pass? Do the cartoonish slip (think Scooby Doo) sound effect.

Other team commits an offensive penalty? Truck backup alarm.

Other team commits a defensive penalty? Homer Simpson D'oh.

And please...play Jay Jay the Jet when the Jets take the field.

I like when stadiums do that, but it can get tiresome if overused.

Ditto with "cat" themed songs like Cat Scratch Fever or Black Cat. Can be cool, but could also be cheesy. Guess it would depend on how fans liked it.

Aaahhh, heck. I'm probably not the right person to ask on this :(

Panthers intro time when they wear the alternate black pants = AC/DC Back in Black

Coin toss when Atlanta, New Orleans, and Tampa are visiting = Mortal Kombat theme (even better if you could, using a similar voice, replace the character names with player names that will be battling each other in the game, i.e. Asante...Steve Smith Drew Brees...Kraken Doug Martin...Keuchly Vilma...Stewart Barron...Olsen Gonzalez...Beason etc.... tie in with jumbotrons to show a highlight of the player when his name is said)

I've always been excited about these kinds of threads. The prospect of hearing music to stir the emotions of the players and fans alike. With some extra time on my hands, I'll roll out a list of instrumentals that could be used in game situations.

    • Scourton's interviews are telling to me that it's only a matter of time before he could really put it together.  His limitation tool-wise that I see is in his bend, but at the leaner size, it looks like it wasn't a problem at Purdue.   He has a good moveset and reads leverages very well (vet level well).  Plays both the speed/quickness (great change of direction) and has a power game with good hand usage.  Moves from what I've seen in my digs: I'm seeing cross-chop, fake crossers into bull, bull rush, spin (his preferred move of choice), hand shuck.  He's not unrefined by any means.   If he can do 2 things---I'm feeling confident from seeing his interviews that we have a real dude on our hands: 1) Diversifying his moveset/how it's deployed - Over-reliant on some, but again, he has a growing palette.  And is already great with his hands so things are in-place to coach up. 2) Developing a counter moveset and starting to play the chess game with an OT - He's very good at reading leverage, knowing when to change things up during a play.  But NFL coaching should start to teach him how to really create a plan based on an opponent.  What to throw at a guy first, how to confuse with fakes/counters, etc.  How to play against these tackles as a game progresses.   Overall, he has some things that give me serious optimism: Run Defense, speed moves, power moves, he's super young and has the size/length.  When you really spell it all out, I think we should get excited.  Temper expectations from a stat sheet standpoint, but he should be able to go in and make an impact.
