Think I Ran Into the Dreaded 'Aussie' Norovirus

I will probably never eat fries or chocolate again. Picked up some stuff from the store last night because my kids have been dealing with it. I stop and treat myself to some large fries at mcdonalds, followed by some nestle crunch bars.

About 4:30, I knew what time it was. Got the bubble guts, the dizzy feeling, slight headache, almost numbness in my hands and feet. I blew about 5 lbs of vomit out and now I'm writhing in pain on my couch. Feet keep crampin up. Feel weak and haven't slept but about 30 minutes the whole night. Can't stand listening to anyone talk, TV included...

Man, my younger kids made it look so easy.

I consider myself a tough guy physically, but this is my first stomach bug in about 7 years and they turn me into a f'ing baby everytime.

And to top it off, my oldest one that is in school, she's out for spring break this week. AWESOME. We didn't even do anything for Easter yesterday b/c they were still dealing with it.

You are welcome.

Yeah man, the whole family went for my youngest's well-baby checkup... It's horrible. I don't know if it was that, or my wife got sick a week or so ago, and she works in healthcare... She also usually prepares the meals. It's horrible.

A couple hours ago, I wasn't even able to hold my hands up to type on my phone or cpu.

It sucks. And kids definitely do take it better than adults. My son blew chunks and was like "what are we doing next? I want a milkshake!" LOL. I on the other hand, felt like it would've been easier to go lock myself in my garage with the car running than that feeling right before you upchuck.

I got that over the Giants-Pats round 1 Super Bowll. A friend of my brothers came over to hang out after getting over what he said was a stomach virus, and the SB was the next day, made it through the game and was sick as a dog after that. I still to this day cannot look at buffalo wings without feeling sick.

I'd rather have the flu then that again.

Dude.... I had it about 3-4 years ago, my first time experiencing it. I was shitting my guts out while leaning over puking in the tub. My kids were crying hysterically not knowing what the fug was going on with me. Was so dehydrated my vision began to blur. Buddy made a make shift IV to get fluids back into me. Hope you get over it soon. poo is brutal.

Years ago I got one after eating those honey mustard pretzel nuggets and 3 salami and mustard sandwiches

I've eaten salami and or mustard since, but never alone together and I'm probably never going to touch those fuging pretzel nuggets again

Yeah, I will have a hard time eating any chocolate or fries for awhile, but that's good for me... I needed to start eating better, now I have an immediate reason.

Last time I'll never forget, it was even worse... I had thought I went long enough without getting whatever my wife and daughter had, so I thought I was safe. I decided to have a nice appetizer of salsa and chips... A LOT OF THEM. It was too late... I ended up doing like CoW... My wife woke up to me in the fetal position, in just my boxers, rolling back and forth on the floor in front of the bathroom.

I finally made it to the bathroom after she fell back asleep, only to wake her up to me rolling off the toilet to throw up in my tub once I smelled myself splattering the bowl, lol. One of the most humbling experiences of my life. Now that was love.

Wow, I had the same stuff right before I went to the Dominican.

I was at BDubs and was trying to choke down a beer, normally not an issue with me at all....

Couldn't get it down, had to get up from the table twice to go blow up the toilet. Paid my tab quickly, and didn't get to my car before I threw up all over the parking lot.

Made it home and threw up and had the runs all night long. Seriously like every 3-4 minutes, all night.

Couldn't drink water or eat for three days. Didn't have enough energy to get off the couch or listen to the TV. Literally laid on the couch with my eyes shut praying to not have to throw up or poo everywhere.

It was by far the worst I have ever felt in my entire life.

    • Would Morgan or Beason have been HOFers' if injuries hadn't derailed their careers?  I was not a close watcher of the game when Morgan was in his prime but I thought Beason had a few seasons at close to Lukes' level of play.
    • Franchise QBs feast when things are rolling and the tide that raises boats when things are going sideways.  Bryce isn't that. He's a complimentary player, that's it.  When the defense and STs are on point, he plays loose and it shows.  When we are in a dog fight and things haven't gone our way, he struggles.  It's that simple. He's not a horrible QB, but he's not top tier either.  So the question begs, is this worthy of a second contract?  The answer should be no.  It definitely is my answer. Bryce will never be a QB that can produce wins largely on his arm.  That's a FRANCHISE QB, any other QB is simply a placeholder at the starter's position until that guy can be found.   At some point the excuses of lack of weapons will be a straw man.  Heck, it's nearly there now.  I mean if he doesn't look even better than last year will we blame it on the TE position?  'Well if Bryce only had a player like Kelce, Kittle or Gronk on this team...'  Are we really going to do that?
    • When I arrived at college, I was 18, not too much younger than some of these draft picks.  It was not a huge school, but there were guys on the team who were 21, 22, 23....playing ahead of me.  I was seventh on the depth chart.  Those guys have been through a few seasons, were stronger, more knowledgeable.  I was a better raw player than some of them, but those other factors matter.  As I grew stronger, more familiar with the playbook, and learned what it was like to play in college, I gradually improved and with that, I rose up the depth chart.  It took most of my freshman year for the light to come on.  Had the coach thrown me into the starting lineup day 1, I would have probably failed.    And that was college.  So I agree with you based on my experience on a much lower level.  Frankly, I think that is why so many kids drafted to fill huge gaps bust.  The teams are desperate.  Anyone who looks to fill vacancies in the starting lineup through the draft is desperate.  You draft depth to develop.  For this reason, I say, "Let Walker start for a while."  Maybe Brazzell can be our WR 4.  Throw Hunter into a rotation and ask him to do one or two things.  Freeling needs some strength and he needs to work on run blocking.
