Las Vegas

Hey guys

I'm going to Vegas next week and I'm looking for some trip advice.  We are staying at Treasure Island and I've heard great things about the hotel. What are the "can't miss" parts of Vegas?  Which show is the best to check out?

Cool beans. I'm going there in 2 weeks. It really depends on how old you are, who you're going with and what are your desires.

Young and wild:

- Best nightclub is XS at the Wynn

- Best Strip Club tie between Spearmint Rhino and Treasures with the latter being the only full nude establishment in Vegas.

- Go on the roller coaster at the top of Stratosphere.

- There's a bus service that roll up and down the strip called the Deuce. For $5.00 all day, you can hop on and off as long as you want.

- Visit one of the topless/euro pools. I know the pool at TI is kinda small so I would recommend going to the Wynn or head over to Rehab.

Couples:

- Visit the Chumlee of the Pawn Stars

- Take the wifey to the Fremont Experience

- MUST take her to Hoover Dam

- Redrock Canyons

- Outdoor shooting ranges

- Take her shopping inside Caesar's Palace

Fremont experience is definitely a must for a first time visit it Vegas.  I was underwhelmed by Secret Pizza in Cosmo, not worth the trouble finding it.  The Bootlegger, off the strip has awesome calzones.

The top of the world type views at Stratosphere or Ghost bar at the Palms or Foundation Room at Mandalay bay, are cool.  If you have time to get out and about during the day, go to Red Rocks on a hike.  Have a great time, that place is so much fun.

As for shows, there's a million of them out there. I'm going to see Criss Angel's Believe as a comp for my wife and I. There's a bunch of other Cirque type shows there like O, KA, Mystere, Zumanity, Love. There's Le Reve at the Wynn and it's in that Cirque format as well. Then you have the other shows like Fator, Blue Man Group, The Peep Show, Jabbawakeez.

Here's a list to all the shows: http://www.vegas.com/shows/

Be warned though that most of the shows, the tickets go from $75+ per.

In the future, there's a Facebook app that I use called MyVegas. I've been using it for the past 2 months and so far i've accumilated enough points to watch Criss Angel. I chose him over the other shows and you can also use your rewards points towards food or free nights or upgrades.

Have fun in Vegas and don't get arrested.

Dont go with a plan or schedule. Just walk and experience things. Dont take the bus, walking the strip is one of the best experiences. If something catches your eye stop and enjoy it. Checking out all the hotels is something that will take a couple days.

If you're really hammered or a friend is hammered and your hotel is 2 miles down the strip, maneuvering through a sea of people when you can't look up gets difficult. I would suggest taking the bus if not a taxi only when hammered to bring back wasted friends.

    • Maybe a bit of a homer take but I can't give us a grade lower than A.   Freeling was arguably the best LT prospect in the draft.  His athletic ability is off the chart and at 6'7" that can move.  It was a no brainer pick.   Hunter's key word is Violence. Putting him next to Brown should scare an offensive coordinator. These two give Scourton and Phillips plenty of chances to get one on one opportunities. Brazzell, another tall receiver with sprinter speed.  Our WR room is filled with tall talented WR.  Brazzell is going to give us a WR that can take to roof off the defense.  Basically Jimmy Horn with size. W. Lee III has a nickname of the Blanket. (heard this on the Beleav podcast with J. Stewart)  What a great name.  A great value in the 5th round. Hecht A strong, fast and extremely smart center. Many had him listed as the best center in the draft.  He's most likely a starter sooner than later. Wheatley A good safety in round 5.  Someone who could see playing time.   Kuwatch  I love this pick.  At minimum he will be a key piece on special teams and with some good coaching he'll see some packages where he'll play.  His down piece is he doesn't stay up in the running game.  Good coaching will fix this.  He reminds me a bit of A.J. Klein.   All these picks were great value.  I believe everyone of them were graded higher than the pick we took them.   Dan Morgan is IMO doing a great job turning this team into a good team with great depth.
    • Moton is a class act.
    • Sure, that is possible. That’s what, an extra 55 yards a game on average and 7 more TDs? What if he’s just 15th?  I imagine they would extend him in that situation due to the belief that he’ll keep trending up. maybe a 3 year contract to prove he can be top 10? Sounds like a Tepper plan.
