Moose and Steve Smith together

Recommended Posts

Didn't see this posted anywhere and if it has been I really don't give a fug but yesterday afternoon Moose and Smitty were on 610 The Drive together and I listened for about 30 minutes while driving and it was highly entertaining. Really cool to hear these two reminiscing and going back and forth and Moose is always a great interview. Talk about coming into the league, their first impressions of each other, the Superbowl, their mancrushes on Tom Brady, etc....Definitely worth a listen and really insightful and you will be smarter than you were before listening.

Here is the podcast and it looks to be about 45 minutes long but jump to about the 8 minute mark and that's when those two begin talking.

Oh, and for all you new Carolina Cam fans...errrrr I mean new Carolina Panther fans. Moose is Muhsin Muhammad who was a highly talented WR for the Panthers from 1996-2004. You are welcome.   :D

+ 2008-2009!

We do have a lot of Carolina Cam fans around here don't we.

That said, great pod cast, would listen again.

Meh, at least there is a type of fan that gives a poo about us now.  Rather be known for having our megastar quarterback than being in the dark ages again (pre and post delhomme).

I bet one of the WR's that wouldn't take extra reps was Jarrett.

Smitty has been on 610 twice a week and recently said that Dwayne Jarrett's problem was never talent, that he made some of the smoothest catches of anyone he had ever seen in practice. It was just like we thought, that he didn't work hard, fell asleep in the film room, etc.

It was definitely entertaining. Those 2 should have their own show on WFNZ when Smitty retires. They could replace that crap show with Brett Jensen

That show is like the ramblings of a mental patient. Almost conspiracy theory like at times. Dude needs a co-host to bounce back and forth with

    • Another source: NFL Rumors: Hakeem Butler to Visit Panthers After UFL Success, Wade Phillips' Praise ZACH BACHAR JUNE 10, 2024 The Carolina Panthers are expected to conduct a workout with UFL wide receiver Hakeem Butler, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Butler recorded a league-leading 652 receiving yards as a member of the St. Louis Battlehawks. He was previously a fourth-round draft pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. After the Battlehawks were defeated by the San Antonio Brahmas in the XFL Conference title game, Brahmas head coach and longtime NFL coach Wade Phillips told the receiver that "I'm going to tell everybody in the NFL that I talk to that you need to be playing," via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. Despite the loss by St. Louis, Butler still hauled in six receptions for a team-high 59 receiving yards. The 28-year-old was named the 2024 UFL Offensive Player of the Year, as he was one of only two wideouts to have multiple games with at least 100 receiving yards. While the Panthers added Diontae Johnson and first-round rookie Xavier Legette to their wide receiver room in the offseason, they could still use some depth in the form of Butler. Carolina isn't opposed to picking up former UFL players, as Rapoport revealed on Thursday that the team is also "expected" to sign All-UFL receiver Daewood Davis. Although Butler was selected by the Cardinals in the 2019 draft, he did not play as a rookie due to a hand injury and only appeared in two regular-season games as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. He did not record a catch. Butler signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2023 offseason, although he ultimately didn't make the team's regular-season roster. At 6'5", he has the frame to potentially make an impact in training camp and earn a shot at making Carolina's 53-man roster. If his workout goes well with the Panthers, Butler could give himself another chance to possibly return to the NFL.
    • They have all the rookies. The DC game has Ron though. With the new QB. It is weird.  pantherclaw, Bryce sort of is what he is, and in Madden he makes throws the real Bryce can’t make. Here and there. He ain’t ain’t a top QB in Madden though, lots of picks. aone of them lol was the throw that scares the hell out of me when he throws it, out to the boundary... quack quack.
