What kind of spider is this?

It's not a brown recluse is it? I googled it and they didn't look the same then I decided I no longer wanted to look at pictures of spiders. Fug a spider.

I'm with shuf... I know spiders are helpful in regards to killing other annoying pests, but they freak me the fug out.

Note to spiders... you are fine as long as I don't see you.

I see wolf spiders alll over the place but I don't think that is what this is.

Brown recluses have a violin-shaped mark behind their head and I don't see one.

It slightly looks like a grass spider but I am not sure.

It might be a young wolf spider.

 

They get pretty fat and are scary AF.

It's legs are 3 times as long as it's body and a wolf spider doesn't have long legs like that. I didn't see it personally but my son took the picture of it and said it looked more like an octopus than a spider.

 

He stood back about 5 ft from it and threw a flyswatter at it and cut it in half on the first try.
