This is great. And it is nice to know Smith is planning on hanging around for about 3 more seasons (barring injury). Would love to have some deep playoff runs with his last couple years.

Good to hear but, I have to admit, I'm still a little salty about Keiser being cut.

I am somewhat surprised that the cutting of a role player who was injured a lot last season would create tension. Now if a long time vet and consistent starter were cut, I wouldn't be surprised if there was some tension.

About damn time. Some accountability. No more squeezing yourself on a roster to get a paycheck. This is sport. Not a job. It's meant to display the most talented people in a society. And the fans pay dearly to watch them. I don't care about the idiots who make sports a profession, get cut and can't feed their families. Every player had a chance of 4 year degree, a profession. Our receiving group is so much sicker than most of you realize. This is going to be an incredible year. So many play makers. Smith, LaFell, Gettis, Ginn, Hixon, Pilaris, Adams, Bryant

 

we will have a really good group of 5 or 6 receivers. Not to mention our running back group

The key word is "seems".  LaFell can easily not play himself out of the WR2 position, if he doesn't "bring it" this year.  And that's during TC, pre-season, and during the regular season. He can fool himself if he wants, but he shouldn't be too comfortable regardless of what people may glean from this article.  

 

BTW, I wouldn't say that LaFell is "hated", as much as he may be underappreciated. His disappearing acts won't make G-man or many Panthers fans mistake him for John Cena (if you know what I mean... You can't see me)

Thats pretty much all they respected. Now we see why so many players protested his firing so openly.
