No one outside the Carolina fanbase would call that a sick group and mean something positive by it.

Dude. Nice one. Way to use a ridiculous overstatement to make a point.

No one inside the Pantherz fanbase would call our WR corp SIC. But, our top 3-4 receivers are nowhere near as bad as you, and some others, make them out to be.

I have heard Lafell getting lots of love as a solid #2 this offseason. Teamed with Smitty and Olsen, we are in good shape with our starters. Hixon upgrades the #3 spot, so I, and many others, are quite content with what we have this year.

I would hazard a guess that there are more teams with less talent, than there are teams with more talent.

Cam has thrown for 8,000 yards the past two years...and even though Ginn/Hixon are not superstars, they are definite upgrades to what we gave had at the #3 and #4 spots.

Therefore we are better than last year and still put up 4,000 yards last year.

The WR and DB spots are def the positions to watch this season. We may not have the greatest WR corps, but the bottom end of that position is far and away better than its been in a long, loooong time. As I've said a few times. With the return game covered, the last WR spots will be given to the guys who show the most,as receivers. And not their STs abilities.

I feel your pain, just can't let it get to you. Keep fighting the good fight.

The one WR that I am most interested in?.... Ginn Jr. I am under the impression he signed here because we told him he has the opportunity to fight for playing time at WR. He had really good hands in college. Maybe with a fresh start, and Cam, he can recapture the old magic. If can earn playing time...

I know all about IF. But, if, Hixon is healthy, he is a legit #3. IF, Ginn Jr. can win some time. We are better than good, and a whole lot better than last years team that put up almost 4000 passing yards.

We don't run a whole lot of 3-4 WR sets. But if these two guys step up? There will be no falloff of talent. Teams will have to pay attention to every receiver on the field. That should spread them out, allowing more space to work. I can live with that.

Murphy has better stats than Hixon in 3 less years. How is that a definite upgrade?

We know Hixon's history. Both the good, and the bad. When healthy, he can play. We are banking on him not only BEING healthy, but STAYING healthy. If he is healthy, he is a legitimate #3, and a huge upgrade over Murphy. If he isn't healthy, or can't stay healthy, Pilares, whom the team loves by the way, may get more playing time.

This isn't all doom and gloom as some will have you believe. We are better off at WR than a whole lot of other teams.

Based on? The years he played in every game his numbers are still worse than Murphy. What suggests Hixon is an upgrade?

I never brought up numbers as a consideration. Just the talent level is better with Hixon than Murphy. Murphy's lone edge over Hixon is speed. Hixon is the much better WR in every other area.

Hands? Go to Hixon. Route running? Hixon wins that one as well. Running with ball is something Hixon is very good at. Murphy? Not so much. Athletic ability goes to Hixon as well. Throw in the fact that Hixon can fill in with the Return Game, and it is easy to see that Hixon is a huge upgrade over Murphy.

I will admit that Hixon and health are not exactly close. But he is healthy now. He is here now. And he just may be productive. If he is, we are better. I can live with that.

Murphy had a chance to become our #3. He let it slip through his hands. OOOOOH!
