I dont feel like transcribing it, but He talks about Cam having the best first two years of any QB in history. He talks about the play calling of Chud and how it wasn't the best for the team. All in all a good listen.  (translation, he says exactly what the fans have been saying.)a

Starts about 18:00 in and lasts a few minutes.

I mean there is no way to skip ahead unless there was an error on my end? All I had was a button for play/pause. But I messed around and eventually it showed.

I just clicked anywhere on the progress bar and it would skip to that point.......

Can someone be a doll and provide a recap for my lazy ass

Q: What's the momentum like? Feeling in OTAs?

A: Really upbeat. Trying to continue momentum from last season. Like some of the FAs and draft picks, hope they will step up.

Q: Cam is taking a hit from "sophomore slump" talk, what should we expect this season?

A: He started slow but other things came into play and he matured in the second part of the season, made adjustments to offense because it wasn't working how we liked it and Cam quietly had the best first two years of any QB ever. Bottom line: Cam improved and will continue to be improved this season. Very comfortable with the players around him, team is comfortable with him.

Q: How much of the problem was the lack of a run game?

A: We got ahead of ourselves, did more than we needed to. Run game evolved and clicked at the end of the season, taking pressure off Cam.

----Talk about Deacon Jones and bigger players becoming commonplace in the NFL---

Q: How are you going to help Smitty?

A: We brought in Hixon and Ginn, couple them with developing players like our main #2, LaFell. Solid young players help take pressure off Steve, Olsen threat up the middle in the zone. Getting the run game clicking is important for his success. Take the pressure off each other (good run game takes pressure off Cam, other receivers help Smitty)

Q: 7/9 losses last year by one possession and safeties got beat big, what are you going to do on the back end to shore it up?

A: One thing we did at the end of the year is moving Charles Godfrey from strong to free, made big impact in Saints game. Strong safety competition is big: Campbell can be the guy, need to see if Mitchell can be the guy. Also addressed D-Line, pass rush will help secondary.

Q: 2-0'd Saints last season, how confident against them (with Payton back) this year?

A: Feel very good about them this year. Payton back is important but it's about the 11 players on the field. Toughest schedule is a challenge but "they still have to play us".

Q: Y'all have had the toughest schedule a lot lately...

A: It's a challenge. We build on how we finished, lots of very close games we had the potential to win. We learned from last year, going to use it to our advantage this year.

Love those two bolded answers. Man is this a great time to be a Panther fan or what.

Too many things going right. The future just looks too bright. Something must be amiss.

Oh, and SgtJ00 thanks for the recap.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
