Cam Newton gets 7-year-old author to sign his book for him

When was the last time Cam Newton asked someone else for an autograph? Last weekend, when he met Birmingham-based author Amare Small. The 7-year-old showed up to Newton’s promotional stop for his clothing line at an Atlanta-area Belk. He brought with him a copy of his first book, “Operation Back To The Field,” an autobiographical thriller about a boy named Amare whose parents won’t allow him to play football.

Amare, an Auburn fan but an even bigger Cam fan, thought Cam might enjoy it. He gave it to Cam. Cam was touched. Cam asked Amare to sign it for him (“C-A-M.”). Cameras were rolling.

Man we dont need the media or the gen pub to like Cam... that just means he'll like us even more.

Fugg the haters, fucgg the media... IN CAM WE TRUST.

Yes, everytime Cam does something good everyone must be reminded that he is a me first narcassistic con artist with a fake smile. Otherwise how will anyone learn?

Honestly, does someone have to post something like this every time Cam does something respectable? It just adds fuel to the fire for lack of a better phrase.

Damn quoted wrong person. Also if you don't get sarcasm may God have mercy on your soul.

    • Rags lost again. All is right in the hockey world.
    • He’s responsible for two drafts classes. The first was one of the worst drafts I’ve ever seem. The second one is showing a ton of promise. I’m somewhere between skeptical and hopeful on Morgan.
    • I'm a big fan of Dan. His ability to find productive players deep in the draft will pay off.  I'm going to give him 1.5 draft classes right now, because I do think it's a little unfair to evaluate his first year when he got the job in January, especially when we went into that draft not having a first round pick.  XL and Brooks are still big time TBD players. Both still have incredibly high ceilings, but both have also given us legitimate reasons to have a lot of pause. Trevin Wallace, Chau Smith Wade and Jatavion Sanders have IMO outplayed their draft position early in their careers. That's a great thing. He also got Coker and Demani Richardson as UDFAs that year. Given the situation we were in, I really don't mind the gamble on the high ceiling guys. Still may work out, still may not, but if you made a checklist of ideal situation for an NFL GM to walk into, ours was near the bottom of that list.  Every single 2025 pick is contributing in some way. That typically doesn't happen. I am absolutely blown away by this draft class 6 games in. Even the best GM's miss on occasion, and we can't expect Dan to be 100% on drafts moving forward. Ryan Fitzgerald was an excellent find as well.  Comparing our last two drafts to the previous few is pretty shocking. Can you imagine this season without our Rookies? It would not be good. Additionally, this roster only has 6 players with more than 6 years of experience, and two of those are specialist.  The next step is equally important, and still very much TBD. We have to avoid Cap Chaos.
