Our sweet ,loving, awesome German Shepard Betty is gone and I am feeling so lost right now ..She has been missing since the 4th and there has been no sign of her. We have treked all through the woods in oyr backyard..looked along the side of the road to make sure she wasn't hit and have posted fliers as well as had like 10 other people search for her.. she was out on our screened porch like just any normal day. And we get a call from a friend who went to our house while we were gone saying Betty wasnt there. Apparently she jumped off our porch which is about 12 feet up. She was able to do this due do a hole in the screen, which makes me feel so shitty since I knew about this hole but didn't get around to fixing it because I didnt think our dogs would jump from that high up. So I feel like this is my fault. I guess all the fireworks spooked her so bad she just made the jump. Im worried that she is somewhere unable to get he due to a broken bone from the jump (shes 8) . I feel so lost and it feels like my kid is missing. And I don't know what else to do..besides to keep searching ..I just hope shes comes home soon.

So please if your in the salisbury keep on the lookout for a black german shepard.. I have no idea how we will deal with it if we cant find her

I'd call around different animal controls within 60 mile radius. Someone could of pick her up and brought her to animal shelter miles away. I volunteered for Charlotte animal shelter and we had people bringing random dogs to us all the time. Most of those dogs were picked up along side of the road.

I'm sorry man that's terrible. We lost our dachshund like that (the maintenance man at the apt complex let her out) way back in 1994. It took us all day to find her. She was loose in town, near UNCW. I did as Arsen said and called animal control and someone had found her and called them.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll find your dog.

For a bit up hope for you. Our cat went missing when i was like 8 or 9. She was gone for about 15 days. A realtor who happened to be a family friend happened to find her stuck in the chimney of a house that was unoccupied and for sale. Apparently she chased a bird and fell in (there was an eaten bird in the chimney) and was trapped. Hopefully wherever she is she will find her way home to you. Dont lose hope and like everyone else has said blow up animal shelter phones and keep searching.

Thanks for the positive stories, it helps. she is spayed so she isnt off finding another dog. And we have a good friend who works at the local animal control/shelter and shes helping get the word to the other shelters

My next step is to get up with some hunting buddies and see if we can locate someone with a bloodhound or tracking dog to maybe catch her scent but all the rain has me thinking it might have washed it away

    • Bryce Young has recorded 4 game-winning drives through nine weeks, leading the Carolina Panthers to crucial victories in tight contests. The 12-play, 58-yard clock-killer versus the Packers in Week 9 (16-13 upset). This pace positions him as the team's most clutch performer in years, with a 68.4% success rate on go-ahead drivesalready surpassing many franchise benchmarks early in his career.   Young's early 2025 surge (top-5 league-wide in clutch EPA at 0.28 per dropback) not only outstrips the debuts of Newton (2 in 2011) and Delhomme (1 in 2003) but hints at him climbing this list quickly if the Panthers sustain their wildcard hunt. Data underscores his growth: no other Panther QB hit 4 GWDs before Week 10 in a season.   The energy fans pour into the stadium directly shapes Bryce Young’s performance positive support has been shown to elevate his fourth-quarter efficiency by 12%, strengthening team cohesion and execution under pressure. Criticizing or booing the starting quarterback fractures morale, disrupts focus, and undermines the very resilience needed in clutch moments. When fans stand firmly behind their QB and team, they become a true home-field advantage, amplifying performance and accelerating the path to sustained success. Now are you a Carolina Panther fan or a Panther hater?
    • Bryce would have extended some plays scrambling with his legs but then again he also has a high number of fumbles so you never know what you're going to get and the way the Bills were getting after Andy (sacked 7 times) it stands to reason Bryce would have been under duress often. What exactly do you want here? I mean I'm going to go by the gameplan I saw after Bryce turned the ball over against GB. Clearly Dave Canales was deliberately trying to limit the opportunities for him to make a catastrophic mistake. And didn't Micah Parsons log zero QB pressures? So with that in mind if you are asking for anyone to argue our offense with Bryce would have had much if any success against that opportunistic motivated Bills defense while we were also splitting carries between Rico and Chuba who had the majority of them which ended up being a situation resulting in a weeks worth of scathing criticism and deservedly so then I'm going to just have to say we can agree to disagree.
