what the hell is going on in this thread

This.

I have a problem with because we're in no position to insult a player for what he likes to wear in the off-season. We forget that these individuals are fans of the sport too.

We're not Commies and/or Nazis, are we?

I challenge all of you guys who think this is ridiculous to wear that "special shirt" that your old girlfriend or ex-wife gave you for your current girlfriend or wife.

Tell her why it is so special to you and make sure you explain to her why she shouldn't care or make a big deal about it.

Even better, why don't you wear that cool wedding ring that you used to wear before your divorce?  I mean, you're not married anymore, right?  And that wedding ring was utterly awesome... looks GREAT.

I'm sure your current wife will be cool with it.

I'm pretty sure Patriot fans would be much happier if their biggest offseason issue was Aaron Hernandez getting caught wearing another team's hat.

Don't really see this as a big deal.  But that said, his response is a little prickish.

Kap is the next contestant on, "It's better to burn out...than fade away", sponsored by Def Leppard (for ironic reasons), and Nena (for obvious reasons).

Thank you God in Heaven you gave us Cameron Jerrell Newton instead of this dumb ***.

Good luck, Squidward.

Kaepernick needs to grow up.  He is the quarterback of the 49ers and needs to act like it.

Fans have every right to hate on him for this.

You would never see Tom Brady or Peyton Manning wearing another team's and rightly so.

If you work for a company you're never going to walk around wearing your competitors logo.

They had a segment on the nfl network about it, ED said he'd never wear another team's colors but tried to be pc about it the whole time til the end when he was just like "Take off the dam hat young buck."

Also quoted Seinfeld by saying you cheer for laundry.

Couldn't help but think how much harder they would have been on Cam had he done the same thing.
