To restore or not to restore?

Whatever you do don't sell it.  Also remember that any money you sink into it is as good as gone so don't look at it as an investment.  You may actually have a son of your own to hand it over to by the time you get done with it.

For the love of God go out today and buy a cover for it.

Whatever else you do to it keep it out of direct sun, rain, and keep stuff off of it until you get it running or sell it.

And please dont let it rust away sitting there if you decide you dont want to mess with it.  There are plenty of folks who will give you a fair price to take it as their project car.

damned if I can remember the name of the show...but it's about a restoration outfit out in Arizona somewhere...last night they bought a 66 Chevelle convertible...brought it back to their shop and discovered it was an SS...think they put 12 or 13 grand into it and when they were done, hot damn that was a beautiful car.  I don't think they had to spend much on the engine at the price.  Just an idea of what kind of money you might be looking at.

Desert Car Kings is the show you are referring to if I am not mistaken. I think it's already been cancelled.

Another really good show like that is Fast N' Loud. It's on Discovery Channel too.
