What is going to give Peppers the motivation to try?

Recommended Posts

Motivation to turn in a season that leads to a team willing to give up the package it takes to pry him from the Panthers.

EXACTLY!

As I said in the other thread, Pep essentially tested the waters and every FO in the league is going to be watching him this year for a possible trade scenario. If he plays like the beast that he can be then those teams will be more likely to offer the Panthers what it will take...or for the Panthers to make another HUGE offer for him like this time.

In fact, as far as the Panther's short term success / Pep's performance this year, this is the best thing that could have happened.

You people have absolutely no foundation in your beliefs whatsoever!

I refuse to even accept Peppers as a part of this team until he can prove to me he is a motivated, dedicated player.

That he isn't acting all jolly just so he can turn around and pull this crap next offseason.

If he wants to leave fine, but for him to hang us out to dry like he did isn't something that I'm just gonna let bygones be bygones to.

He screwed this team this offseason, I wanna know he isn't just putting on a show. I want him to step us his game, stop crying about our defense, and play to the best of his God-given abilities.

If he does that there is nothing more I can ask of him.

    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
    • Dude he didnt play in pre season.....  he didnt practice at all with the team until the end of October.    I do agree though.
    • Bryce had a hand in the Miami win but not nearly as large of one as Rico and he also had the extra burden of being a big reason we were in the hole in the first place. If we get a winning season he is definitely back for next year though.
