So Hurney was correct in spending a 2nd rd pick on a guy that has taken three years to maybe be a #3 receiver? I would prefer Antonio Brown, who is the #1 WR for Pittsburgh and was taken RD 6 in 2010.

As bad as hurney was at certain things I think there's a chance the 2012 draft class turns out to be a great one, much like the 2001 draft class was for us after seifert gotshitcanned (well, the first three rounds anyway)

I don't mean to be redundant, but I said it the other day and it's been said already here.

 

We're paying 90 million to two RBs when Tolbert and Barner (both multidimensional guys who fit into the 21st century offense we're trying to build quite well) could do the same thing for a tenth of that.

 

 

So considering the amount of talent that could have been had at positions of need this offseason then...

I kind of relate Hurney to a power hitter in baseball.  When he connected he usually hit a home run.  Newton, Beason, Kuechly to name a few but when he didn't hit it was a huge whiff.   Shelton, Jarrett, Colbert, McClain.  And the ratio is about the same 1 homer to about 5 whiffs.
