Prisco - Cam more mature, less aloof

Okay article.

But most of the stuff he said Newton had over come, was pure speculation, innuendo, and unfounded media nonsense (including from him). Nothing solid at all.

Plus, when is "Aloof" necessarily a bad thing or a sign of immaturity. They're a lot of "aloof" leaders/stars now, and in the past on NFL teams. This just tells me, media people wanted time with him, and Cam declined. Lol

So if Cam, wants to open up a little bit more; more power to him/that's his choice. I hope it works well for him.

PS: I never thought Prisco hated Cam either (despite his belated ProBowl hit piece). I think Prisco knows he's very good. And I've heard him say it, more than once. But unfortunately PRICKO, is not beyond writing a sensationalist story, for cheap attention at Cam's expense as well.

I love how Prisco insinuates good-guy Cam could be "an act".

that's Prisco's way of saying "I'm a dumbass, yeah...I know I fuged up...  yet hey..  hey..  I have a license to be a bullshit writer so give me a break...."

and then Cam still gave him a chance..  like he did with 2 kids who can't walk...

That's the thing. Cam doesn't hold grudges with various media, or his alleged critics. But they [the media], would still like to portray him, as a self centered, selfish, immature prick.

This is the farthest thing from the actual truth and reality (even for some of the Panther Pavlovian fan base to realize).

SMH

PS: Rivera, still can't just come out and say "we ran too much read option (as he's admitted elsewhere)". So instead he speaks in parables ('we put too much on his [Cam's] plate; he handled the ball too much', etc.), and let's the reporter say it instead. This is how, his initial statements, got misinterpreted in the first place, by unscrupulous media. The difference is; everyone knows now (the formations, Read Option, getting away from 2011, etc., to the teams/Cam's detriment), whether they want to officially report it or not.

SMH again.

    • Yeah I find myself flipping between the worst case scenario of Bryce either playing just mediocre enough for our decision makers to justify giving him a contract extension in their eyes because they want to justify drafting him. Or Bryce going back to playing poorly and us having no one else to fall back on because Pickett might be decent for one or two games but there's no one else and our locker room starts to get ugly because we went all in with our salary cap and guys careers are on the line. This scenario which IMO is the higher probability given our schedule and the amount of tape out there on Bryce is why I say if we can trade down and acquire a few more mid or late round picks we should draft a developmental QB. Not looking for a guy to be the savior but someone with the necessary physical tools and who could actually run a QB sneak. But we'll just have to see how it shakes out. I just want a competitive team but the last thing I want is the season to fall apart because we once again threw our arms up in regards to the QB room.
    • ^This. Rico was dynamite when we needed it last season, but not enough to keep but it massively upped his earning potential. It was a win-win for both sides. And he was there to cover the hole left by the injury to another RB, and hopefully his release to free agency means there's good news for us on the way. These new ones give us the opportunity to do that again, on the offensive line and elsewhere. We've got some long term question marks here and there due to injuries and age, and these players have a chance to up their value on the open market or settle down with us if the opportunity arises. And none of it ties us down with dead money down the road if it doesn't work out. And we've been in dead money hell for a decade now. Lease the ones you like, buy if you fall in love.
