As we enter a season with the most hype and excitement since the 2008 season with the best team we've had since the reset button was hit pre-lockout, I came upon an idea. I was looking at David Gettis highlights on youtube which, of course, brought me to this play:

On a serious note the Cardinals playoff game, because that year I really thought we could have done something.

For me it was the AZ playoff loss. I was only 11 or 12 when we went to the Super Bowl, but I knew the Patriots were very good. I remember hoping that we could beat them, but not being very optimistic about it. However, after the 2008 season I felt we had a realistic chance to at least get to the NFCCG. Stewart's early touchdown in that game reinforced my conviction that we could do something special that year. Then everything went to hell. I don't think I've ever gone from higher than I was after Stewart's touchdown to as low as I was by halftime of that game faster than I did that night.

 

With that said, however, I think this could be a good year.

Mine too. It got to the point where I wanted us to lose just so we could get a higher draft pick... you know your team sucks when the only thing you can look forward to is a top 5 pick...

I'm old enough to remember the 1-15 season - THAT'll really make your pecker droop! Other than than, the deflation I felt as I attended the 2008 playoff implosion at BoA probably ranks up there too. But after the 1-15 season, everything since has looked comparatively rosie. That's not to say there have been sucky times since then, but 1-15 helps me keep it all in persepctive.

About midway through the 2010 season when it was obvious JR was tanking. I was disgusted.

Cardinals playoff game was on my birthday...so that sucked.

 

The Super Bowl obviously sucked, but at the same time, I went into it thinking we didn't have much of a chance. The comeback in the 2nd half built me up, and then it crashed obviously.

 

And sadly, with the 2010 season, I got to the point where I didn't even watch most of the games. I had better poo to do than watch that dumpster fire.

I still can believe they started Brian St. Pierre over Tony Pike. Oh and for me it was the Clausen 2-14 season.

At the time I thought the Rodney Peete week 1 benching was a really low point.

 

The cards PO loss was gut wrenching yet kind of bitterweet - end of an era but many were ready for some new faces at that point.
