I am with CRA.  I am interested to see how we fair against this uptempo offense.

 

Seeing what Gettis does.

 

I got to admit this has been one of the most difficult preseasons ever as far as who I think will make the team. Especially WR. I have had just about every combination you can think of.  I think if Gettis has a good game We'll have 1-5 locked in at WR.  Smitty, LaFell, Ginn, AE, Gettis and if we keep 6.  Last spot is still up for grabs.   COME ON Bersin..lol

Maybe we should bring Foxy back.....everyone seems to be in such a rush for our big play offense to become so conservative. While we are always conservative in preseason.....I fail to see why people want Cam Newton and a ball control O.

Williams, Stewart, Barner & Tolbert: i don't expect a pass happy offense. I would like us to create our identify based on the players we have. Control the game with the run and kill opponents with the pass. Create a balanced offense with ball control. We know that Cam can throw, we don't know that we can run. I'd like to know that before preseason us over.

I'd really like to see Star do well.  Him and short... actually the front four in general.  We put a lot of picks into it this year.

 

The other bits and pieces are interesting but I think the front four are the bigger deal as far as our win-loss record will be concerned.

No bad decisions from Cam.  He talks and talks in interviews about making good/better decisions but when he gets in the game gets antsy trying to make a play.  All that talk has got to tranlate to the game.

 

This!!!  I want to see Cam come out and make some good decisions, go thru some reads, and protect the football.  Preseason is a warmup for him as well and he needs to show that he is practicing what he preaches.  

 

I think Kurb mentioned it very early in camp that it seemed like Cam was throwing interceptions almost every practice.  And its not like he's going up against an all star secondary either.  I wanna see his decision making improve throughout preseason to get ready for the start of the season bc unfortunately the first game is against an all star secondary.

As an offense you react to the defense. We cant run if the other team is stacking the box with 8-9 men. Got to kill them with the pass. If the box is light and they are defending the pass, kill them with the run.

This is a typical pattern.  I'm sure Ill be corrected if am wrong :)

 

First game: One or two series, or a set number of snaps (i.e. not much).

Second game: All of first quarter, maybe a bit into the second quarter.

Third game: All of the first half, and maybe a bit of the third quarter

Fourth game: Maybe the first quarter (if at all).

Well, we have Newton and he is by far the best offensive weapon...and it isn't close. So shouldn't our offense ultimately be about what he does best?

Homerism aside, I honestly see Carolina absolutely thrashing Philadelphia.

Their offensive line might be the worst in the league. Vick and Foles are in trouble. They won't get more than 10-15 yards against our starters.

Offensively we should put up 2 touchdowns with our starters. Cam is still pissed off about the pick 6.

Prepare to hear all week about how Philadelphia let the poo Panthers D rape them.

I don't know where you got "their offensive line might be the worst in the league" from. They probably have one of the best in the league with a few guys coming back off injury and lane Johnson at RT
