Damn. Hate much?

Isn't hate.

Ginn was a top pick for a reason....he has the tools and skill set wanted. So you can't play that Gettis has him there.

Ginn had done more as a NFL player....simple and plain.

Can't say Gettis is better

I would. There are undersized, "Zomg best returner in college ever", fourth round WR with fumbling issues in the draft every year.

Some receivers take a couple years to develop. I think he is worth a roster spot simply because he is the only pass catcher on our roster besides 34 yr old smith that has a contract past this year.  Good teams develop talent, don't sign a bunch of washed up guys to 1-year contracts every year.

While he may indeed get cut, I think a lot of posters are selling Pilares short.

I can't remember him ever making a bone-headed play, i.e. bad drops, fumbles, etc. Generally he has performed well when the ball is in his hands, although I must admit he is not much of a kick returner. He just has had very few opportunities except as a returner.

Remember the punt to the 1 in the first Atlanta game? The one that should have sealed the win? It was Pilares that downed the ball at the 1. He is really good at that aspect of ST.

Perhaps his biggest knock is he seems to be injured fairly often. But whatever happens, if he gets cut I wouldn't be surprised to see him go elsewhere and be a productive player.

He has the speed and what appeared to be good hands. His hips are stiff though which slow him when he changes direction and when playing with Cam one has to have the ability to adjust. I would love to see Ginn playing to be honest with you, but Gettis has looked better to me. Not just his catches but how he runs, gets open, and of course the fact that he's not know to have stone hands. We've had two #3 receivers with cam, both of which with questionable hands. Lafell has some of the best in the league(using number of drops here, not a blind compliment) and smith has lapses, he's still solid. Plus Gettis is 6'3 and can run by you, 6'3 trumps 5'11 in recieving everyday.

Keep Ginn and Hixon. Cut Pilares and Adams. Consider cutting Edwards too.

Simple

So the guy who had 40 yards recieving in one quarter against a first string secondary you want to cut? The amount of time and money vested into AE along with the potential of finally cashing in gives him the nod over of the 1 year contract guys. AE can also return punts and kicks, for all we know will still be the third receiver on Thursday. It's not 2011 anymore.

Too slow for his small stature really. He's not gonna burn you on a double move. If Louis Murphy is any indication than it's possible for someone to leave and be productive, even if its just preseason.

Gettis has a list of things he needs to work on as well....

Ginn is still the better overall player to date. Just is. The fact he is legitimately one of the better return men in the league easily prohibits this Gettis is better talk.

Maybe Gettis COULD become better....can't claim he is a better player bc is a couple preseason catches. Ginn also has legit catches and runs he has made....so Gettis' 3 catches in 2010 don't set him apart
