Trading Hardy is so logical its almost common sense.

Easily a first rounder plus maybe more. Hes only 26 coming off a double digit sack year while he has gotten better each year he has been in the league. If he doesnt have good trade value then I dont know who would

Nobody is going to give a 1st round pick for a player with only one year left on his contract looking for his first (and maybe only) big payday.

Trades are never player for player so exactly who are all these guys that we are going to get right now to improve the team.  A starting wide receiver?  A starting right tackle??  Exactly who is giving them up and why would we do this a week before games start.  This kind of conversation might be fine in the off-season but not right now.

All these arguments on why we should extend Hardy are the same exact arguments I heard before we extended Stewie. "With our injury history im glad we have depth at RB with two studs." Or "Having two studs at the same position is always great." Or "You always need to extend and sign your own and you cant afford to let playmakers walk."

Same exact things I was hearing when we signed Stewie. Its all about balance! Ok say we Hardy doesnt have trade value, fine. I still say you let him walk for the fact we will have to re sign Cam and Kuechly.

Yeah we can't sign Hardy because we have to sign Cam and Kuechly in 2 years.  One has no relationship to the other given many of the players on this year team may not be here in 2 years.
