The other reason the "goodbye" thread went 45 pages is the crap that's filled this first page as well.  How many zingers can we throw out there celebrating the fact that we cut a player who didn't see the field for the last two years?  Certainly becoming of our fanbase.

No, actually is much more simple, we didn't want to have to pay an injury settlement so we put him onto IR. It's the last year of his contract and he'll be allowed to walk after spending all season on the couch.

 

He didn't get claimed by anyone because he's not that good and prone to injury. 

 

I seriously doubt that anyone would pick up any of our receivers that are on IR (except for 89 of course).  People aren't clamoring for Panthers receivers. To the contrary. It's a "secret" joke among NFL types.  Defensive coordinators don't have to put too much thought into stopping our passing game.

 

Any DC in the league: "Double 89, and roll the dice with the other guise."  LOL.

 

At least Ginn has some name recognition I suppose. Most people don't even know who our WR2 is, and there's a reason for that.
