Munnerlyn starting will be a huge mistake. His man is always open. I specifically watched him all preseason. He looked worse than last season. The QBs constantly picked on him. Rivera is a dumbass.

Man this is what I think every time some dumb ass fan on this board who obsesses over mediocre players praises Munnerlyn. He was like a 6th or 7th round pick for fugs sake

And Arian Foster was an UDFA.

Anyone who throws out the round that someone was drafted (after they have been in the league multiple years) as a failed attempt to say they are no good has the football IQ of a swamp rat.

What cracks me up about some posters on here is this:  They make decisions based on a few plays they remember using limited football intelligence.  Then these assumptions become unquestionable facts that become the basis for developing opinions about the football intelligence of people who are paid millions to think NFL football and make decisions that determine their income and employment status.  These self-proclaimed football magi do not consider the fact that this is comparable to a person who once boarded a puppy in a kennel telling Donald Trump how to run a hotel.

Have another opinion, just don't call people who do this for a living stupid because they did not call you during your shift as a sandwich artist at Subway to ask your opinion before signing a free agent or drafting a player.

It is like the saying in poker, "You never remember all the hands you won to build your chip stack, but you always remember with great detail the one hand you lost it all"

And Quinton Mikell, the guy the board is unanimously excited about signing, was an UDFA.

So you might want to not obsess over what round a player came from.

If we were playing the Saints or Atlanta with those big receivers and tight ends I would be upset about Captain starting, but Captain matches up well against Seattle. He tackles well and we will need sound tackling against Beast Mode.

Quinton Mikell will be starting by week 3

I am ok with Mitchell starting week 1. We need somebody that isn't afraid to ring Lynch's bell. I want him running out of bounds not trying to get extra yards...

I think Josh an Josh will be starting soon. Things have a way of working themselves out. The best players will play.

..sounds like some guys in here who went to a few open practices and DVR'd the exhibition scrimmages know infinitely more about the game than a college all american who won a super bowl as a player and a conference championship as a coach.

I'm convinced.

hope some of you smart fellas are in line for his replacement

Id rather have a corner who knows the plays than someone who struggles remembering coverages and assignments...yes flashes of greatness are divine...but rolling the dice without knowledge of where to be snap to snap will cost you the game in crucial moments.....There has to be some type of stability in the secondary in order for the players to have faith in themselves and one another
