Q and A with Gettleman

This 'process' poo about the o-line is dreadful to hear. Basically it's admitting we'll suck for half the season, and maybe our line will play well enough to get us to 7-9 with a late run.

I know everyone is getting excited as game 1 looms, but I'm still having trouble moving on beyond what I said in July. If we don't pick up anyone to improve the right side of the line, I can't really picture anything higher than 6-10.

i think even with the line we will be at worst 8-8. but it's interesting he just thinks the line needs to gel and work on getting comfortable. he even used a ron line "it's a process." which doesn't make sense coming from in. Maybe there really isn't much quality out there for the price.

I like everything other than the O line part.

Yeah, it is really getting tiring going into the season without a rock solid O-line as opposed to basically gambling that things will work out.  While the linemen get "comfortable" with one another, Cam could be getting laid out, and we could be losing some close games.

Let's roll the dice and let the process play out...    SMH

"Everybody had their say," Gettleman said, sitting at his desk at Bank of America Stadium. "We sat together as a group and had a number of meetings. We kept going over it. Saturday morning, (head coach) Ron (Rivera) and I got together very quickly and we moved on."

Hmm... I guess that "conspiracy" that Armanti fanboys were spouting off in the Gettis threads is a reality, lol.

Now, before they run out with their pitchforks, I want to add that my favorite part of this article is saying Armanti is the 3rd QB, which is what I think he should've been all along. In fact, I still don't know why the staff ever felt the need to MAKE him a WR. Now, it's nice that he is supposedly able to contribute in both facets, but I would've loved to see what he could do as QB as a rookie and then move from there... much like the Vikings did with Joe Webb.

Armanti got to throw one pass two different years.

He had a perfect passing record with the Panthers until someone dropped one last year I believe.

That's why it was so painful watching Clausen a few years ago, without putting Edwards in at QB.

No way Clausen was ever as good at QB as Edwards, not to mention the ability to avoid sacks.

Since Armanti is a better QB than Newton would think that would work fine.

Coaching staffs have been so nuts....will probably have Armanti Edwards working on learn to punt and just replace Nortman.

They expect Edwards to do everything else.

so are you an app fan or what
