Did anyone else notice about Cam...

You could hear Cam presnap today on the broadcast and it sounded like he was doing more than in the past in terms of calling out protections and making adjustments and even possibly calling some audibles.

I have never heard him that vocal before and I think they have put more responsibilities on him presnap which to me is encouraging in terms of his progress.

I did, particularly the call "Kansas." He also made some motions to his receivers.

 

Also, we didn't have one burned timeout due to a late play call.

Dude if Cam called an audible on an important drive late in the game and threw a TD, his confidence would be threw the roof and I think he would enter another level.

I actually noticed that as well...right off the bat.

 

I was happy with the way Cam played today and the offensive line played well too but they just didn't take enough shots and they couldnt keep drives going in the second half.

Still seems like they get to the line and snap the ball with just a second left on the play clock. I wish Cam would have more time at the line.

"Kansas" is pretty much the second play that was called in the huddle, meaning he's cancelling the original play and going with the second play.

Obviously Kansas was a term to taunt the Seahawks, as thats where most of their fans are from apparently.

I agree with Shelby. It's what I call reactive play calling. In the game we are flat until they score, They score first Then we move right down the field for a TD.

 

We go flat again until they take the lead again Then all of a sudden we find our offense again and move the ball right down the field until we fumble inside the 5.

 

The play calling seems to go conservative until we get behind then it becomes more creative.

 

I think ZOD observed something similar as he gave the coaching a grade of C-

LaFell and Ginn were open on a number of plays, I'm so tired of this crap. Cam was locked on to Smith and Olsen, even after Greg dropped 2 drive killing passes.

Lets find a new drum to beat.
