Interesting stat..

Seattle was 0-3 when inside 20 attempting to score a td. We held them to two fgs and then a ff by Johnson. That "high powered" offense of 50 points could hardly score..

It's only week 1. We are in second place in the NFC south and have the same record as packers, ravens, falcons and bengals, all of which will prob make playoffs

Interesting fact....

Seattle stuck with the run game and didn't pass it as often as they could.

If they would have abandoned the run and just exposed our secondary more....

We got to Wilson plenty but he is too slippery to sack very often...vs less mobile QBs we MAY be able to cover up our deficiencies in the secondary...but we play against some great QBs as well.

And we should've won. Last year we lost by 6 in the opener and were tied with a lot of people. Two years ago we lost by 7 and were tied with a lot of people and had a lot of hope.

We scored 7 points!!!

You guys are probably two good drafts away from being really solid and really consistent, yet, look at how hard you made it for us today. You have some of the real key pieces:

Cam

D line

RBs

Hate to say it but, WRs are better than expected

LBs

But like someone said, what you are missing is big. If your D line were not so good, Wilson might have had 500 yards today.

You really need some DBs and maybe two O linemen. You can potentially get that in one off-season. With great coaching, you will still do some damage this year.

You played is HARD. Thanks for making us better by showing us what we need.

Props.

    • It appears that he sees things differently than the QB and OC, so Cam's advice is spot on. It isn't about number of targets, it's about quality of targets. Trust and being on the same page. BY doesn't know how to anticipate what XL is doing. And XL doesn't like where BY is placing passes. One on one film study would go a long way. More for BY than XL though. He has to adjust to XL. I really don't think XL can adjust on the fly.
    • If the team shows improvement, then he shouldn't be in danger of losing his job - even if the record doesn't reflect. This was a very young team (with a lot of new vet starters) that overperformed last season. Somebody's doing something right. Consistency is key with so much youth. And we're potentially looking at new starters at ILB and FS. Those are positions that take time to fully understand the defense. ILB calls the front 7. Safety calls the back 4. Injuries at WR and IOL killed the offense last season. Depth needs to be upgraded. Same with Edge. I think they would have won more games if Pat Jones doesn't go down early. Be smart with the roster and draft. Trade players for assets when it's time to pay them more than they're worth - yes, that includes BY if he doesn't make a pretty big jump. That's one of the many reasons Tillis is as important as anyone to the future of this team.
    • He had heart surgery a while back he looks Fraile I hope he is okay
